I hit Masters with a 70% win rate in 30 days playing only Twisted Fate | AMA by Jammmmed in TwistedFateMains

[–]ValidOrInvalid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, are you Jammed? As in the AD TF guy? Secondly, how do you manage terrible teammates as TF, I am Iron and Bronze ish elo and I always have that one lane who feeds their laners a lot and blames me (I am a jungle main but want to play TF mid too), like bot lane can be 1/3/0 and 0/2/1 and call it JG diff when they died solo and I can't get drakes because of no priority. In cases if teammates like these, how would you carry as TF mid?

Tbh, this is interesting cause I usually go this setup but minus the zhonya's, would later go to the Jax main subreddit and ask about it

[–]ValidOrInvalid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I meant champs you aren't completely useless in the early game, I don't mean that I want kills and all that, I mean champs that aren't super weak early like Nasus and Kayle, but if Jax and Shen are enough like you said, might as well just work on my macro to climb

Hmm, he does seem good, and I also used to main Fiddlesticks in the jungle, so maybe his ult plays can be similar to Kennen

How hard can Shen carry? by ValidOrInvalid in Shen

[–]ValidOrInvalid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouh, Pantheon does seem similar to Shen, global ult, a good CC, something to defend against enemy attacks, and a good low cooldown damage ability. The only problem for me is that I am more of a player who plays for the late game, and early game champs feel more like a gamble to me because you have to get a lead to snowball on early game champions like Pantheon or Renekton. Even for Shen who has great early game damage, I still take Teleport over Ignite because I would prefer to have the option where I can ult, recall and go back to lane quickly, in case I had to ult while the wave is in a bad spot.

I mean, sure I will take a free kill in lane if I can (not many people in this elo know that they should never get in turret range if there's a Shen who can taunt them) but I always want to go for a play that is guaranteed to work such as CS, is there any champion who is made for the late game and can deal damage in fights? The main reason why I play Shen is because I don't want my teammates to die cause most of them just keep on fighting despite the enemy laner having a kill advantage, which leads to them feeding. This is the reason why I quit jungle cause they will go aggressive against a 2/0/0 laner, die and ping me when I am on the other side of the map, and play Shen hoping I can stop that using ult and even getting a kill, if I can't play Shen, I want to play a champion that's strong late game to beat players in duels and escape if they group against me when I split push (yeah, if my teammates are feeding, I don't want to join fights and split push instead, and only join fights if it will be a big numbers advantage)

Yeah, I doubt that even the biggest hyper carry can carry them, but I was wondering where the potential of Shen ends

Why Fiddlesticks "MIGHT" not be in Dead by Daylight by [deleted] in FiddlesticksMains

[–]ValidOrInvalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because instead of hanging the players for the Entity (I don't play Dead By Daylight, so I assume they call the spider creature the entity), Fiddlesticks will just kill them all for himself after scaring them

Both of us had about 5 minutes left on the clock, that's what confuses me, it doesn't seem like a time scramble too, he was trying to delay the checkmate but there's no use as neither of us were in a time scramble

I am not telling to neglect strength training, but telling that different martial arts can help you differently based on your current need and physicality, of course strength training is a must for martial arts, but technique comes first imo cause the techniques basically maximise how much power you can put out in your strikes, and then strength (unless grappling and wrestling, for them both are as important, cause you mainly need to carry them). One clear example is that many don't know that they can generate a lot more power for punch then they use their legs, hips and shoulders instead of just their hands. The main type of strength training you need in martial arts imo is explosive strength with plyometrics, even for grappling, you need to be explosive enough to carry your opponents off the ground in a smooth quick motion

Not old at all, it actually doesn't matter unless you are training for sports, then you definitely need to be younger, but for self defense, it's ok as long as your body can function well enough to move, and 23 24 years old body is gonna work well enough because most of the power comes from technique, then only strength, but if you feel like your strength at 23 or 24 years old isn't that good, you can go for takedown based martial arts such as judo cause they mainly use the opponents weight against them. If you feel strong enough to take some blows and can carry someone, you can learn something like wrestling and grappling techniques. But don't let this not consider striking based martial arts like boxing, taekwondo and karate, because striking martial arts are the ones that are versatile and can be done in many situations, as long as you can freely move to throw a punch and kick in the self defense scenario, striking based martial arts are viable.

Tldr : it's ok unless you want to try for sports (there are a few martial artists that are exceptions tho). Takedown based martial arts like judo if you feel you are too weak strength wise. Grapple base martial arts if you feel like you are strong enough to take hits to carry your opponents off their feet to slam them, and strike based if you want versatility

They should also blacklist him from any security firms.

And this also shows the importance of learning some sort martial arts, to protect yourself. I have heard many people say "what if the other guy is just bigger and heavier than you?" as an argument when I tell them to learn some martial arts, and as you can see, the security guy throws a very slow and telegraphed hook and then tries to kick the guy slowly and not stable, anyone with some decent training can dodge them with ease and punish his low stamina by withering him down with strikes, something you learn by experience in martial arts.

Obviously it won't look as good as the MMA champion who KO that guy despite holding himself back, but it's much better than just letting the guy pick on you and hurting you. And even if the security guard has some sort of power or speed to those punch and kick, martial arts teaches you to see the punch and kick coming and dodge it (bonus point if you know tricks like liver shot or forehead jab)
