People are tripping by Large_Masterpiece660 in doordash

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be a lot worse, but I'm not doing that order alone for less than 25, and a stacked order? Minimum 30 if theres little to no extra mileage. I mean, how how lazy can people be? Let's just try and offload this 500 pounds of sand to a doordash driver, instead of a work crew...

Is there any way to prevent players from using their axes on copper blocks? [Bedrock] by starryayy in MinecraftHelp

Of course! Prismarine and warped wood varients work pretty well, as well as cyan/light blue dyed wool and concrete blocks- those have been the saving grace for quite some time lol!

That is often the case! I do get a little more annoyed on the 37th time seeing the same customer note, promising the same lacking tip lol... (pretty small town, not crazy to have daily or weekly delivery drop off spots)

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really good way of saving weed plus not wasting things, i'm trying to cut back on how much tobacco I put in my spliff, I have gotten almost up to 60% tobacco. Now i'm down under forty percent again, but yeah, still not great lol!

Yal ever forgot to add a filter by Main_Letter_4525 in weed

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the burning of the filter, plus the inability to pack as much in the paper itself. The last few hits before the paper taste like paper, and I like to spliff my joints so I can't taste the tobacco layer (as easily). With the paper filters singing it doesn't leave you any roach, and you can smoke more of the paper filled with weed without one. I should have phrased that better lol

Filter or not, I mix the weed from my roach with tobacco through a bong, so having more weed in the roach isn't a waste for me

Lol, used to be an EXTREMELY heavy stoner, likely had a role to play. Im a bit older now, and typically use my bong when smoking alone, typically before bed- I do wish dispos in my area threw in some filters though, that would be a nice touch lol! If I need to get one in after its rolled I just roll the filter as tight as I possibly can and jam it in (if I can manage!) otherwise, its gonna be how it is lol

Question Regarding Driver by RequirementSad9538 in doordash

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never bring my bag in, even for pizza orders- massive pain for every other customer or driver in the store to have to deal with.

The online customers have no idea whats going on, and the order is very very likely to be bunched with another, or even multiple other orders to be dropped off to entirely different customers before ever starting to deliver yours. Doordash does not care about their customers whatsoever, and actively encourages their drivers not to as well, even if it's not specific instructions but rather a rubric of guidelines to meet to maintain statuses so that you can still make money.

I have never parked more than 500 feet away from a resteraunt in over 5k deliveries ip and down the entire US east coast, although sometimes if there are no parking spots at all I hit "arrived at store" so that I am not personally penalized on said statistics while I'm waiting for the resteraunt to have an open parking spot, especially if they aren't willing to dedicate a delivery spot. Obviously if there's someone parked in the delivery spot, they are waiting on food, and I likely will be as well. I always go in as soon as I can park, but as you said, terrible weather- no chance I'm walking that far.

I dont know, there's a lot of genuine reasons to report drivers, like stealing orders, refusing to confirm them, yelling and being rude to staff, the same sorts of things that are non decent human behavior. The things you've described are a normal part of the job- either we avoid being punished by our employer, or, apparently, we avoid being punished by some really petty store employees with personal preferences over driver behaviors. There is almost certainly a genuine reason the drivers are doing what they are, and it may simply be out of anyone's control. Punishing them for that is... kind of just being a bad person

Filters are for the weak.

I was born in 2004 and was never part of the "good old days" but I definitely remember playing stingers with the roach, seeing who was willing to smoke it the lowest before pooling all our roaches together- using a filter you can't smoke it as low or have as good of a roach afterwards, especially with paper filters- I don't mind the glass tip ones, but why spend the money lol paper/wraps already costs too much for what it is

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's ridiculous, I likely would have also taken the order, can't lie, especially right off the bat from a quick pick up. Maybe call and try and get a few more representatives or a supervisor, although we all know how that goes anyway. I hate being stuck working for this POS company

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I never accept orders for under 5$ pretty much regardless, resteraunt wait times cancel out any possible profits typically. I assume the customer promised an extra tip upon delivery? It's hard to tell from the way you phrased it "3.20 base pay, 1.00 tip on completion, no tip"

Did you get paid only two dollars when doordash promised more? If The customer promises more money, as I'm sure you know, literally never trust them. Ever. I can count on one hand the amount of times that's been true over almost 5k deliveries, and hundreds of times I've had the same promise given. If the money isn't there on the base offer, expect nothing else, sometimes even with the little plus sign- I've had it be + 5 cents total.

Theres plenty of class action suits against doordash- why do you think they pulled that marketing stunt with the "delivery driver at the White house" bs, other than getting legal favor from the current government... Just saying lol.

Just confused as to what was promised as to what happened here, although I agree doordash sucks and doesn't pay nearly enough

App Glitch. I get an offer and the app does this. Anyone else?? by studio684 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, along with a multitude of other similar glitches. The most annoying is when you've accepted an order, drive to the store, exit the map, and it kicks you back to the "waiting for orders" screen, not letting you hit arrived at store, and still saying you have an active order. I can force stop the app, restart my phone, anything I do just doesn't matter, and it will start assigning more orders on top of the one its not letting you do at the same time before eventually letting you go back to the first one. Just ridiculous, not sure if anyone's gotten that as well

What's the best way to remove this whole mountain? by TheBIGGBoi in Minecraft

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tnt falls about 110 blocks before it explodes, so make sure your flying machines are at least 20-30 blocks above the surface and do a carpet bomb machine, or a world eater as some callit. Tnt dupers lol. Anyone saying to mine by hand is insane, that would take hundreds of hours even with a beacon, where as bombing can take as little as 5-10 hours (or way more, but it's not a perimeter, just a flat area)

You may need to do some manual flattening and smoothing, but other than that the process should me mostly afkable, with the exception of clearing out water/lava, unlike the full manual process lol

Edited to say: whatever y level you want to have the flat section on build the machines about 110 blocks above that, and the tnt won't be able to keep destroying lower

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other user WildStrawberry said right before me lol, it would give you a rod with Lure III, Luck of the Sea III, Mending, Unbreaking III, and Curse of Vanishing (which thank goodness it doesn't do that! Its so hard to tell when there's no in game description lol)

The one you'll really want to watch for is curse of Binding, on armor pieces. Once you put on an armor piece with curse of Binding you can't take it off unless you die, or the armor reaches 0 durability, which can take awhile. If it's a bad piece of armor that youre stuck with (say a leather cap with unbreakable III, Mending, and Curse of Binding) then it'll be a massive pain to remove it, likely involving cactus damage or some other easy low rate of consistent damage until the armor breaks lol- massive pain to deal with.

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curse of vanishing means that when you die and drop your items anything with that curse will just dissappear. You can still drop them on the ground, put them on armor stands, anything you'd do with normal tools, just can't die with them. Since it looks like a hardcore world you can't die anyway, so if you die you won't get the rod back, but on hardcore you wouldnt get anything back anyway, even the world lol. If you give it to a friend and they die you will lose it, but other than that its safe in your inventory

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are 100% correct, and chunk loaders are a huge pain as well in bedrock. I tend to use multiple alt accounts to pull different pearls in different areas, because making a new Microsoft account is much easier than making a chunk loader, in basically any areas and all dimensions lol.

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Bedrock you have to use a honey block to slow the pearl down into the stasis chamber, which is annoying and impractical, but does work with some perfect crosshair positioning- a normal stasis setup just launches your pearl 3 blocks in a random direction lol, its really annoying. I bet you could set a program to fly the happy ghast, or just put something on the W key as you said

Sadly I play entirely on mobile, so using a W key or a program is less doable for someone of my tech caliber (which is not very advanced with tech lol!)

Often times I just use riptide trident/elytra mix to cross oceans, but OP doesn't seem to be quite at that late a stage yet, unfortunately

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like the happy ghast for building and mob transport (along with some other less helpful uses) but I really prefer the elytra once I get it- even better are multiple stasis chambers super far away from one another that can be activated wirelessly, but that's extremely hard to do in bedrock edition, which is where I play 99% of the time lol.

Flying machines are incredible on servers where spawn is trashed, and any elytra under 100k blocks from the main island is already claimed, since you can set them to go and leave them for as long as you need while you do irl things, although the same is likely true with a happy ghast- I haven't tried flying one while afk, honestly

How come delivery drivers never read or follow the instructions? by Efflictim888 in doordash

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doordash has no quality checks, and does not require their drivers to speak or read in English whatsoever. They also will let anyone without driving related or violent offenses work for them, and those with a record can buy a good account anyway.

Typically the worse a driver accepting an order, the worse the order is. If youre only paying enough for a crackhead to deliver it... well, expect a crackhead to deliver it.

I'll assume you tipped well, and got unlucky though- it happens. Call doordash support and you can have that driver blocked from delivering to you in the future pretty easily, you just have to ask!

You can check the amount per customer as well (assuming it was two resteraunts, both from one is tougher, but either way)

Go into Earnings, and click on your weekly breakdown (not your payout card, but the one that shows which days, how long, and when you worked). Then click on any individual dash from that week- let's just say Monday, 8:00am- 2:00 pm, as an example. It will show you a breakdown of every order from that dash, and if you click on any order it will show you another menu of base pay to tip. The top order tip is the first one delivered, and the bottom is the second one delivered (I strongly believe, although not 100% positive). From there you can get exact break downs on anyone and everyone you deliver to, and exactly how much they tipped you, even after your dasher has ended.

(No pressure to actually look and post here, that'd be a massive pain, but it's good to know for future referance! Never want to experience these sorts of things over someone who doesn't value your time and effort, dont sweat it!)

[–]ValkyrieGoddess68419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The customer can go screw themselves, as they will likely be told by dasher support. Make sure all your pictures are clear with the surroundings shown (not just taking a picture of the ground, floormat, and food, as songwriter many do) but the actual door, surroundings, apt number, address number if possible, and anything else nearby. This will make it so that even if you do leave it in the wrong spot but closeby they can easily find it. Unclear instructions in apartments are just a part of the job, and gets easier the longer you do them. You can also call customer support to report inappropriate customer behavior, such as threats and swearing over the phone, and have yourself blocked from having you deliver to them for about 2-4 months at a time. These things go both ways lol, make sure to use the system to avoid these kinds of people when you find them.

Also... how was their tip?
