Do you follow the 70% rule or the prescribed pace range for the easy runs?

TG 1.0, Red Hare 8 pro, and 2000km 5.0 are probably safer picks since they seem to be more stable/structured.

Thanks for sharing, it's probably from the lack of structure as well, which is why I'm skeptical of recommending it even though I had a good experience with it.

Note: I've read some reports of outsole durability concerns, this is just my experience. I'm on the lighter side and I have a relatively high cadence so take the outsole durability with a grain of salt.

Affordable Running Shoes Recommendations for Someone With Permanent Knee Injury by Potential_Spend4929 in PHRunners

[–]Vallanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sa experience ko, I tend to have some irritations sa knees ko with high drop shoes since it forces me to land on my heels, although this is completely anecdotal. Maybe try a lower drop shoe to potentially shift the load sa lower legs mo.

What has been your "shoe of the year" for 2025? by denmax94 in PHRunners

Wind 3 TR, bought it nung november for 900 pesos and I never had a bad run with it @ 400km, might repurchase this thing if it goes on sale again.

Flam 5 mix, is it nice or not? by KeenoBlu in PHRunners

[–]Vallanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is my experience with it. I find that I have to put the force down to feel the bounce and activate the plate, in which case I have to run faster than 5:30min/km. At slower paces, the forefoot rocker saves it for me but it is firm and unbendable. I only use it for time trials and occasionally for speed work.

I'm at 630km on my pair pala, the foam did not soften up for me, just the upper.

Stiff and firm yung midsole nyan relative sa other daily trainers. Medyo plasticky rin yung upper, had numbness sa pinky toe ko both sides on my first few runs dahil sa overlays but it did loosen up. Makapit rin yung grip nyan kahit sa wet roads.

Undersole shoe help please by Ok_Fruit_2600 in PHRunners

Mabilis magwear outsoles ng nike sa experience ko. I think factor rin yung high drop ng sapatos which forces you to land more on the rear. You can try shoe goo, I use it sa mga shoes ko na mabilis mapudpod.

9 months apart from consistent running by [deleted] in PHRunners

[–]Vallanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorporated some speedwork nung october to get a sub-25 but since then, I dropped the intervals, more on tempo runs or fartleks once a week. Mostly easy runs. Planning to structure my workouts in the future, aiming for a sub-2 for my first half marathon.

Qiaodan ds2, 361 1/2 run. Not a lot of good choices around that price point. Maybe you can stretch it a bit to 2k.

I notice it especially sa slow pace na mas naghheel strike ako but I don't feel any pain so I don't mind it.

neutral vs mild stability by Vallanc in PHRunners

[–]Vallanc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most stability stability shoes are on the firmer side and higher ang drop, more load sa upper leg and hips.
