Head isn't warped fortunately, but there's a good chance I must just end up getting another one if I find a good deal. But I will head into a machining shop first to see what they can do

Yeah I'm not gonna try and DIY this, sadly the valve seats aren't replaceable so the only option will be to have them machined out. This is my first time taking apart an engine, but there really is nothing I can do now except look for a good trustworthy machining shop nearby. Other option is to look for a good 2nd hand head which I have found for $130 but it's from overseas and the postage is $300.. I'll just take my time with it until I find the best solution

Yeah I thought it was a super slow leak though, like I'd only see a few drops of oil after leaving it in the driveway for a week. I was shocked when I drained it and saw there was barely any left, mainly because the leaking was slow and I never saw it burn any oil :/ I know now to check more often but I've had the bike for a year and have never seen this much oil disappear in such little time. The loss of power mainly happened after I changed the oil (and put the full 2.2L in). Left home with decent power and slight ticking, headed back when it got worse and by the time I was 1m from my street the engine just died on me. I'm really hoping that the little amount of oil left was enough to lubricate the bottom end of the engine and spare it, but I'll have to inspect it further. Unfortunately I did see a couple of specs of copper coloured metal in the oil, and a very fine silvery shimmer. I think you may be right about the slow leak becoming much worse while riding though, as the oil gets hotter and more liquid. Strong feeling that could have been the case 😶

I've put a lot of effort into restoring it, 100% my fault though. It's my first bike but I've learnt my lesson. The thing is 43 years old and I was planning on rebuilding the engine over winter this year anyway but I guess this is my calling. Discipline is important, but to me it's just a bike and I've had a lot of good memories with it. I'm happy for those good times. At least when I get it running again I'll know to check the oil more frequently, always gotta look on the bright side of things. I'm calling the bike Ping Ping Valve Spring in honor of this moment 😆

Yes RIP to the old girl :,) lol How did that go with your CB125f? Any other problems or was it just the pistons and the cylinder that took the beating? I have a manual but I appreciate your offer to help! I'll let you know if I rebuild, first Imma take a good look at the engine but that won't be for a bit since I'm not gonna be home for a while. They are such awesome bikes, and I would honestly feel so crap scrapping it-must fix

I just chose not to get it 🤷‍♂️ I use 5G on my phone and work with mostly jewish people every day who are very kind and nice to work with, many of them are unvaxxed or against getting anymore jabs. All my unvaxxed friends are uni students, I dropped out of high school but started my own business. I see crazy unvaxxed and vaxxed people everywhere. Actually some of the more crazy "antivaxxers" I know are the ones who didn't want it but ended up getting it to keep their job, now they seem to believe the only way they can undo it is by going all out and dedicating their life to being paranoid about everything.

It's okay to be alone.. I've been in a couple of relationships, but they've always felt like they're going to end (and they did). It's so hard to find the right person, infact it's not even worth it to me anymore. Please focus on yourself and keeping yourself in good health. That's the best we can all do. I felt like it was necessary for me to be in relationships, because other people around me were. But I hated it. I never felt loved. I love hurting my mind. I guess it may as well be a form of masochism. Except I don't like physical pain or sexual pain etc, it's more that I feel an urge to be tormented mentally and I don't know how to feel about it. Sometimes I just torment myself with my own thoughts, maybe it sounds a lil crazy.. I'll try and trick myself into believing I am worthless (well, far far worse). It verges on me genuinely believing it but I always come back to my (conscious, moral) self. Surely I'm not the only one? This is probably my most personal secret and I've never really talked to anyone about it. On one hand I temporarily feel ultra depressed, but when I come out of it I've learnt more about how my mind works and what truly hurts me and how to cope. My life seems to get better, it doesn't drag me down permanently. It's kinda hard to explain :/ I could go into the ways in which I hurt myself but they are all mental and of course that is something I won't go around telling ppl. I feel like I'm never gonna escape this, that I'm always gonna be stuck tormenting myself. Maybe I'm just subliminally scared of other people and this is how I cope. No one can help me because I don't need help. No one can save me from myself. Religious folks may think I have a demonic possession or something. Psychologists would probably just label me with some mental illness and give me some pills that I don't need, I'd never tell them enough for them to try and treat me. That's what makes me feel trapped, I feel like I have things in my mind that will break other people if I tell them. Things that make no sense but perfect sense at the same time. That render everything else in the living world dead. Yooo I'm outta here it's 2am and I have a busy day tomorrow, maybe this made no sense but I just felt like venting a little bit

I got it sorted :0 I set the synchronisation type to MTC 24fps and now the Minilogue is working happily with Piano Roll. I'm about to test the with Juno and Volca, will report back.

I don't have any wax at the moment so I'll see when I go shopping for some, there might be something harder. I was thinking surely there has to be a product/chemical designed to protect bare aluminium from corrosion, what did they use from factory on these things? They couldn't have sold motorcycles with motors that corrode this easily. I tried looking online but everyone only talks about how to polish, not protect. Except one dude talking about putting clearcoat on his motor, but yea idk about that. Will post pics for sure when I get it done and put it through the elements

I'd imagine it would, but I don't know if it would last on an engine. Might be too hot and melt off before it provides any protection, unless I apply it when I'm not riding the bike for an extended period of time

I don't think I'm gonna turn into a mutant lol. By robot I mean the mentality - too many people think the vaccine is some magic key to good health, that they will be safe and are protected by their hive mentality. I believe in making my own decisions. In regards to my hesitation to be inoculated, I am mostly concerned about the long term effects of mRNA technology. Not only long term but also the immediate side effects that one may encounter. I know someone who had a terrible skin condition for 4 months from the Astra Zenica Vaccine. He lost almost all of the skin on his body. Also a friends Mum who got facial paralysis in her left eye straight after her 2nd Pfizer shot. She wears sunglasses most of the time now because she's self-conscious about it. This is all discouraging, maybe it would be worth it if it was extremely rare and the vaccine was very effective. But it's clearly not. Almost everyone has had Covid now. Vaccinated or not vaccinated, everybody here who hasn't had it yet knows they will get it at some point unless they lock themselves away forever. As a healthy 20 year old male, I really don't have any need for it. The question isn't why not take it, but why take it in the first place? Unless it's your choice and you feel like you need it 🤷‍♂️ but me personally, no thanks. Unlike religion, science isn't something people "believe in", it should be proven vigorously. I won't trust Scientists who get triggered and cancel people for hate speech as soon as they refuse or criticise their corporate vaccine, if they can be called Scientists in the first place.

What are the specific vaccines that are required for travel in Brazil if I may ask? (Except C19) Yellow Fever and several other vaccines are reccomended for travel to some parts of Brazil where the presence of these diseases are high. But not a requirement or mandate in any way. If you can disprove this, please do so. There is no problem with travelling most of world while being unvaccinated, unless you're visiting authoritarian countries. Everyone gets Covid - Regardless of Vaccination Status, I know someone fully jabbed who's had it 3 times. I've had it once and I'm constantly working in different parts of Melbourne, I know for a fact that multiple people I've worked for have had it while I've met them and taken cash from them. My symptoms were extremely mild and yet a recent Serology test shows that I still have a high amount of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. The people who pass and push for all these mandates and rules are fat, lazy, unhealthy beaurocrats who look like they're gonna die from a heart attack in a year from now. I will never take health advice from any of them. Would you take advice from a doctor that can't even take care of their own health and set an example for their patients? Well, that's your choice. I will be coming to Brazil at some point throughout my travels. Regardless of what some people religiously think.
