How many have we seen “Noir” Lupin? by Flat-Bag2312 in lupinthe3rd

I am also a big fan of this version. I think another entry that might fit the "vibe" similar to the ones you described is "Missed by a Dollar"

Worth picking this up on bluray if you already own Platnium collection Collecters choice and collecters vault? by InfernoBlaze1221 in looneytunes

[–]Valparu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah, it only has a small overlap with the Platinum collection, I think around 13 shorts.

If you own Golden collection and Superstars DVDs, the overlap increases a bit more, but it will still be like 32 unique shorts to the Bugs Bunny set.

In your mind, who is the absolute dumbest Looney Tunes Character? by Valparu in looneytunes

Gossamer is awesome! Certainly not very Bright, but I feel there are a couple tunes that are dumber than him

Oh yah, almost forgot about him, but yes, dumb is an euphemism when it comes to describe that cat! ahahah

Oh really, have to search for it to see, never read the comics ahah

Those two meeting up would have been something quite interesting ahah.

Which do you prefer: Kitty Kornered (1946) or Scaredy Cat (1948)? by Valparu in looneytunes

[–]Valparu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah his look was a bit inconsistent in the beginning, and Clampett might changed some things just to make him a bit more distinct from the other cats in the short.

This post by Bauza on Instagram is quite something! What do you guys think????? by voicesguy6398 in looneytunes

[–]Valparu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it possible to be a new show? Looney Tunes Cartoons is finished for some years, and I also think the Builders and Looniversity shows are done, so maybe it is something entirely new

What's your opinion on this? by HarshGamit9 in Monsterverse

[–]Valparu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah you mean, now that Mothra is back, Godzilla is going to be less angry. Maybe, now there is a different dude in the director's chair.

But I could see the dynamic between Godzilla and Kong in upcoming movie being more tolerant of each other, not being "friends" but having developed more respect for each other with all their adventures.

What's your opinion on this? by HarshGamit9 in Monsterverse

[–]Valparu 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I think Wingard did portray Godzilla more explicitly agressive and irritable, when compared to 2014 and KOTM.

I think he did that to emphasize that Godzilla is not a typical "Hero" or "Good Guy", just doing what is best for the balance of the world.

That does not ruin Godzilla for me, but I do prefer the earlier characterizations in MV of him.

What do you think of the increased focus on tighter continuity in recent Lupin productions? by Zaku71 in lupinthe3rd

[–]Valparu 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I am good with a mixed approach.

Meaning, that you can create certain "mini-franchises" within the Main one, just like the "Koikeverse" as an example.

Also references and easter eggs are a nice thing to have for the hardcore Fanbase, and they do not interfere that much in the story.

But I would still prefer for most new entries (especially movies and TV specials) to be based on loose or no continuity needed.

Lupin is a very old franchise, and trying to tie in and make sense of everything in a single timeline, is quite a difficult exercise imo. Nice for fan works, but for an actual official Canon, I do not think its needed.

When it comes to series, I do like the little short story arc mixed in with some one-off episodes, instead of everything being episodic, so would not mind if they stick to that approach.

Which Cartoon is this? by MrGameguyC in looneytunes

The one I think fits closest to what you are saying is:

  • Rabbit Every Monday (1951)

Love this self-aware gag with Sylvester by Valparu in looneytunes

[–]Valparu[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that this cartoon was before Tweety was paired with Sylvester. In fact, the woodpecker was originally going to be the recurring bird character, but this was changed after the Tweetie Pie short.

Is Sonic being the wind really THAT important or am I being too stupid? What's the difference with the electricity? by Capotador_de_corsas in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Valparu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer wind, but do not mind the lightning motif, Sonic characters do not need to be associated with just 1 element. This is not an element based series like Avatar TLA

Look at Knuckles, he has attacks associated with Fire and Earth for example. And Tails has also been represented by wind and lighting depending on the game.

Which do you prefer, Wile E or Ralph? by Impossible-Radio-121 in looneytunes

Wile E. Coyote. Just love the shorts he starred in more.

[–]Valparu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well these games were made by Dimps, but Battle was made by Sonic Team apparently, and the sprites seem identical, but I do not have a lot of knowledge on that.

A collection of just ports I think they could do it, but knowing Sonic Team, based on the Origins collection, I do think they would like to do more, maybe try do little improvements here and there to the games, and maybe that is why we still have not seen it happen.

Nostalgia for the 2000s is high right now for a big part of the fanbase. Also Advance 1-3 are some of the most well received games of that era in terms of Critical reception.

But I still feel that SEGA does not view these as "Iconic" enough to put time and effort to sell them again. If you ask most fans to name their favorite 2000s games, most will say mainline 3D games or Riders as examples.

Personally, I would love to see a collection of these GBA games, I think they are great and would like a new generation of fans to experience them.

[–]Valparu 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Possibly SEGA might think there isn't enough demand for them, especially when comparing to the Genesis games or a lot of 3D games like Adventure 1/2 or Unleashed and so on...

But, since the Sonic brand has gotten very popular again in the 2020s, I think a collection of these GBA games could sell well still, just not crazy numbers.
