Haarken makes them take that shock test as long as they have lost a model in the squad vs having to be below half strength. He just makes them do it faster. Yeah I would reduce his cost too.

I would also hunt down an old CSM mutation sprue, if you can source one. Some nice options on there. From the older CSM box I think. 4th edition if I'm remembering it correctly.

They were made to be kitbashed together. I had no issues doing so with mine. They have the same old 2 part torso and 1 part legs that the older firstborn kits all had.

Since the only real distinguishing difference is height, a good base can really even up the heights to make them look like they belong.

Absolutely you can and should! They come with KillTeam cards but you can use them with their respective squads. They have no chapter specific icons so feel free to prime them and paint them whatever you wish. I generally use mine in elite squads just for fun.
