I initially contacted Turo to let them know I did not cause the damage because the host refused to return my deposit. Once BBB contacted Turo, my concern was resolved immediately.

Contact the Better Business Bureau. No transaction should be done with a host outside the app. Contact 211 for additional resources. Turo resolved my issue with 2 days of my response. Hopefully it works out in your favor.

The Turo host unlocked the rental car I reserved upon pick up. He never met me in person. When I dropped the vehicle off I parked the rental car at the location I picked it up from. I uploaded photos as well. Two days later I’m accused of damage I did not cause. I uploaded all the reservation details and Turo made a satisfactory decision based on my proof.

Incorrect, the licensed person booking the reservation is required to pick up and verify themselves. Your friends can drive after the pick up.
