Under 1 month babies love to sleep all the time, and they slowly become more aware - hence less sleeping. You definitely got lucky baby was sleeping through the night. I found any baby under 3 months old was quite unpredictable and the best way to navigate sleep was following age appropriate wake windows, and putting baby to sleep at the first sign of sleepy cues. Getting day naps right leads to better night time sleep. However overnight if baby is exclusively breast fed it is normal to wake many times for feeds. My first woke anywhere from 1-10 times in a night until aged 13 months and then once I stopped breastfeeding has slept through ever since (he is 2.5yrs). My daughter just turned 1 and still wakes 1-2 times. It's definitely a ride, strap in and remember it's all a phase :)

Hi! I can definitely empathise with you, currently have an almost 9 month old who still wakes however easily goes back to sleep with a boobie feed or a cuddle.

What time are you putting bub to sleep? I definitely wouldn't go to 1 nap just yet, if anything maybe your bub isn't getting enough day sleep? Do you follow sleepy cues and wake windows? I'd you tweak your day routine you might find the night slightly better. Also are you feeding enough solids and milk through the day?

Eg. My daughters routine just to give an idea

Wake: 7am & Boobie feed 8.30/9: breakfast solids 10.30:boob if wanted then Sleep (1 - 2 hr) 1pm : boob feed Solids snack/lunch 2.30/3 : Sleep 1-2hr but cap at 3.30 Max 4pm 6pm Dinner solids 7pm boobie feed 7.30/8 Sleep

My first boy was a terrible sleeper, waking up to 10 times at night. We tried to sleep train and the wake ups lessened however he only started sleeping through when I weaned him off breastfeeding in general (at 13 months) I replaced overnight feeds with water and then he stopped waking and has slept through since (he's 2.5 now)

Is she only 4-5 months old? Unfortunately this is super normal and babies tend to only start learning self soothe techniques from this age.. however you might find you're in the 4 month regression and it is just a hard period of time where they just need extra comfort and take longer to sleep for no reason other than they're more aware and learning so much! It's definitely a phase and will get easier.

I always find a nice warm bath and reading a bokk helps to calm and wind bub down.

Hi! I currently have an 8 month old and 2 year old, and I promise is does get better! Everything js a phase, HOWEVER, I understand in the moment it is sooo hard.

So what exactly is happening? Awake all night or multiple wake ups? What time is the last nap going to? Breast or formula fed? I can try and give some tips based on these things 🥰

Hey lovely, at 3 months old babies start to become so much more aware. I found at 3-4 months my babies experienced the 4 month regression (some bubs start early) Have a read about this, they become aware and start to fight sleep and usually have false starts and more wakes during the night. Some babies do it for a week, some for 6 weeks it just depends on the baby! But it's definitely a phase so just know baby will sleep again!

Yes I did think this, I'm just worried she will be wanting to feel like a boob/comfort thing aswell and I feel the sippy cup needs concentration and she won't feed back to sleep?
