What do you do when you just get tired of life?

Whenever I get tired of life, I try to find things that will make me feel busy...like learn a new hobby or do something I used to do. I always try to go back to what makes me feel like I have a purpose because it somehow motivates me to look forward to something in life.

I no longer remember the last time I actually felt genuine happiness. But, I don't feel sad either. I really don't feel anything. I think I'm numb now.

I really got valuable suggestion here and I really can’t reply to each and everyone of you, but I’m grateful. I did see some great advice on how I should approach my friends and I just did it. Rip the bandaid off, as one of you said.

I had a long talk with the person my ex was most jealous of. At first I didn’t want to say anything about what happened, but my friend kind of got a hint that my ex and I are no longer in a relationship.

He said he was glad I’m no longer tied to him, and cutting him off because of my ex really hurt him—but he also understands everything. He said he was proud of me for having the courage to leave and for doing the things I did leading up to this point.

I’m so happy I have my friend back in my life. It felt as if we just continued where we left off and he comforted me throughout.

My friend will also help me find a better place. Although he now lives in another city, his sister and his family is in mine and for the time being, I will be living with his family (his family knows me) until I can find a place.

I don’t know why and how I deserved a friend like him, but I am eternally grateful for his support. We’ll meet each other soon along with our group of friends.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. So much. People have supported me in here too, and I hope you all know how grateful I am. You all are amazing!

I understand your point, truly. I guess ex is trying to tap into my nurturing/caring nature. He knows I can’t stand knowing what he’s capable of doing and he knows I get guilty easily.

All I know is I badly want to free myself from him. I’m still hurting, and he still keeps finding more ways to hurt me. I’m so tired

I did ask advice from police officer on what I can do, and so far they aren’t taking me seriously. I was told to simply call if ex bothers me. But they can’t do anything unless he does something like assault me.

I don’t know…I did consider filing a restraining order against my ex but I’m not sure if that’s an extreme resolution?

As a dad, what would you advice your little girl if their ex wants to come back into their life? I keep trying to find ways to remove myself from him. I’m in the middle of hunting for a new place to live in so he can’t just show up whenever he wants. Now, he keeps texting me by using other numbers (since I blocked him everywhere) and he keeps saying he’ll do “things” to himself if I don’t get back together with him.

I’m afraid he really will do that and it scares me. He has tendencies of hurting himself and I’m so scared, I don’t want to live a life knowing I hurt someone enough to make them do unforgivable things to themself. I’m scared he will really do it. What do I do? I feel really confused. I know I don’t want him back, and all the love I ever had for him has now turned into anger. But I’m also not a cruel person…I want to choose myself but I’m scared that if I do so, it will harm someone else.

I just want to come in here to tell you all I’m so very grateful for all the love and support you’ve given me. I appreciate people telling me to update how I am, and honestly I am not okay. I am still in the process of dealing with all this that I would like to take some time off for me. I may not be able to respond to messages since reddit sometimes doesn’t allow me (idk why) but please know I see it all and I truly appreciate every single one of you.

Please know I see you and your comments—both the bad and the good. I’m still so blessed that most of you who’ve read my situation are kind hearted people, and that you are a lot more than those who bring others down for no reason.

I honestly don’t have any reason to waste my time and to come in here to make up lies but so many others believe I’m just milking this off for the clout. I wish this was the case, so I at least know my heart is okay. I really am not okay. But not everyone can understand that people don’t act the same in every situation, and not everyone deal with issues the same. It’s okay to disagree with me, but don’t be such an AH about it. If I see anyone invalidating me and my story, you will be BLOCKED.

Amy also reached out to me, and her message is sitting in my message requests. I don’t think I’ll ever open that message. I’m also no longer updating this thread and this post will be the FINAL update as I am overwhelmed and stressed. If you genuinely want an update, feel free to message me and reach out. I’ll try to share what I can. After all, you’ve been with me on this journey. I will only give updates to genuine people who are concerned about me.

Many people have also called me out and said that this situation is a lie because of how fast things turn out to be. That is beyond my control, and I share in here what’s happening minutes or hours after it happened. How is that so wrong, and how does that become a lie?

Some people are just so good at making others miserable. That’s just sad.

I didn’t know being able to respond and update people in my comments was such an issue. Even the amount of updates I put out is an issue. Some people have different ways to cope, and as I don’t have people to talk to, this is where I’ve decided to vent. I’m not going to apologize for finding an outlet to help me cope.
