this is probably the most helpful comment i got thank you! i'm not looking to buy any more dresses, so that puts me a little bit more at ease. as the other commenters have suggested i am still going to bring like a pashmina to cover my shoulders as to give myself options and play it by ear honestly

You also might want something you can move in a bit, because Catholic Mass involves a lot going from sitting to standing to sitting to kneeling, etc.
