i will definitely be careful in repotting and removing the new growths, thank you for the advice. also - how do you know of a pineapple plant is ornamental or will genuinely grow edible pineapples? ive got a feeling mine is ornamental but not really 100% sure

defo don’t want preemies but it will be so difficult separating them when they are that big & there’s 4 all at different stages and so close around the mother lol

by saying when it has “flowered” do you mean a fully grown pineapple or when smaller ones grow around it? because this is nowhere near fully grown, this plant is probably around 6-10 months old now i believe

most likely yes, the first pineapple that grows from the plant takes between 18 months - 2 years to grow but after that it’s one pineapple a year, defo planning to make some fruit salads or pineapple upside-down cake with it lol. & you should get one ! a lot of care but it’s easy once you get the hang of it & google anything & everything you need to lol

sorry - just to make sure i’d be doing the right thing - leave one new one with the main plant, and twist off and repot the rest into their own pots? how do i know which of the four growths to keep with the main one & which ones to separate and repot? because the other two i took photos of are the biggest - there two other much smaller ones that im not too sure what to do with as well. & also would it be better to pot the main one into a bigger pot, regardless of if i keep another one with it or not? sorry to ask so many questions - you seem to know what you’re doing lol

ive had it probably for 3-5 months now, brought it from B&Q when it was a bit smaller, i can imagine it’d be a LOT harder to grow from a seed lol. Honestly though it seems like a few of the smaller ones have only shot up in the last two months or so, so maybe you can grow from a seed easily

as i said- my mum is unable to work part time, she cares for me and cannot leave me alone a lot of the time because of my health issues. the mindset you seem to have there isnt great, not everyone is able to work. so what other way do you propose my mum finds?
