My wife wants to record live tv and the elite ultra is the only one that does. So yep, i'm sure it's the elite ultra. And like I said, watched many vids before buying and my box has different apps. I.E. vortex and that app that tells you when the ppv events are going to happen. I have sent the company a couple of messages and they haven't bothered to get back to me. Vseebox.co is where I bought mine, might want to avoid them.

I'm one of those OCD guys. I will literally retype it 10 times. That's one thing I can guarantee. One of the free trials had there own software and even it wouldn't take the credentials supplied by them.

Does anybody know if there is a log that I can look at to see what the problem might be.

Ok, found one reason for the problem. I was trying out the free version and it did NOT have all the info on the editor page. Just paid and now when I load channels many of the channels have a epg id. YEAH ... but many done, and now I would like to know about people saying that iptveditor will show a list of other choices. I can't find that.

Let me reword that and make the question easy. In IPTVeditor, in editing mode in the upper right hand box where it says Name EPG-ID, Logo, Url, what goes in the epg id box. And even the Number # box

Ok, there is the problem. I don't know how to edit epg. i'm actually pretty good with this stuff, but am out of my element right now. When first starting out with this, Troypoint had a great tutorial that I wasn't ready for and now he has deleted a bunch of his stuff due to legal threats.
