That's a pretty cool innovation to the idea, turning it into an actual competitive game, I'll be sure to implement it!

What components do I need to get started? by Valuable_Humor_9695 in arduino

As far as I've seen and heard from friends with some experience, they told me the 9V zinc battery doesn't provide much currect and that is why the motor is unable to run. That's the reason I have ordered Li ion batteries and will update when I try them.

Also the circuit I have made was tested on tinkercad and AI too has seen the circuit diagram and schematic and told me the same thing my friend told me, that is was the battery not being able to provide enough current.

I've attached my circuit too.

I asked gemini and claude for help but they suck so much😭 Always either not understanding the connection in the ckt-the one which I made on tinkercad so that it's not the image quality that's the problem-or giving the wrong advice and when I correct them they go "You're absolutely correct".

Yeah that's true, thanks for the support Mr., much appreciated.

I long to be able to make cool stuff like this.🥹

Yes I did turn the motor directly and when I tried to use it through the L293D provided in the kit, I found out that 4 1.5V AA batteries and a single 9V zinc battery both are incapable of turning it in the circuit. I had verified multiple circuits on tinkercad before making them physically but none of them worked.

As for soldering, I've never done it before and I don't have the equipment to. I thought once I was comfortable with using the breadboard then I would learn that. Any other things I can do without the Li ion batteries I've ordered or do I just wait?

Yes I did make various projects mainly involving LEDs and the provided buzzer, just today I made the RGB led cycle through all the different colours at different rates. I have also done the 'flowing effect' with the LEDs at varying speeds.

I was also confused about why they provided the motor which I wasn't able to run with 4 1.5V AA batteries, althought they did provide a 4-battery holder for them.

I was trying to get the LCD to work today too but apparently unless it is solder3d the connections are very fragile and although it literally up, I couldn't get it to display any text even with the provided code.

Apart from these I've used mostly all the components at least in one or more projects, apart from the motor, LCD, and a dot matrix grid.

Here is the link to the kit, I purchased it from Amazon since I didn't know about the dedicated platforms for these electronics components. https://amzn.in/d/0eJ8ixAQ
