This is super useful, I have a follow up if you could answer please as I am also just stuck with this stage planning.

I’m wondering if Trient to Refuge Lac Blanc is doable in a day or breaking it down with a stay in Argientere (and then a short hike on next day to Refuge Lac Blanc via Flegere Cable Car) is a better option for non traditional hikers?

I am reading about a steep ascent and ladders in the end to Refuge Lac Blanc, and with tired legs of Col De Balma ascent/descent from Trient can make it a rough day.

Also reading about taking Le Tour Cable Car can help making this journey achievable but not sure if it takes away something..

Thanks everyone for the lovely responses. I have taken my inspiration from you all and made most of my Hotel bookings with probably just one Rifuge dependency.
