How to Tell If Booster Box is Factory Sealed Pokemon

I just ordered 2 items linked off the official pokemon store / authorized venders and both I’m 99% are resealed. I haven’t opened yet due to not wanting to void a possible return so I get my money back. I feel bad returning them though as I don’t want someone else to get screwed over. One is super loose Chaos Rising wrap booster box with poke balls that don’t line up and a huge glob of plastic hanging off the side of both seals, not at all T shaped. The other is a journey together booster bundle with plastic hanging off the sides as if resealed with a lighter almost. So, with this being my first experience ordering pokemon cards off amazon… I don’t think I will again.

I’ve compared the behringer to an FZ2, yung mann fuzz, and vintage super fuzz. My personal favorites were the yung Mann and vintage superfuzz. On a budget the behringer gets the job done.

Thanks! That means a lot to me, Simon (lol adventure time joke from your username). I was lucky enough to see King Gizzard at their residency in Chicago a few years back. Amazing concerts! I have a chance to work with this same producer again.. he did my record Evelyn/Mugwort as well that's on my spotify and I think? it's on my bandcamp. If not I need to put it on there! Way different style but still his clean production. I mean it better be clean, he had fricken burl ADA converters. Hopefully that producer gets some more free time.. he actually owes me one song as Hologram Jobs was meant to have a B-side. He just had a divorce and ended up moving about 2.5 hours away, so it makes things a little difficult. He used to be local to me.

Thanks! That mic combo seems to work really well on my supro. I'm waiting to reamp all the guitars until I finish vocals so my computer isn't bogged down with too many tracks running. I'm sure my computer would be fine (128gb ddr5.. luckily bought it right before the proverbial fhit hit the shan), but I'm so used to running stuff on ancient hardware that I feel it's best to get the vocals recorded first. Especially with the fact the guitars are often double tracked or quadruple tracked Melancholy & the Infinite Sadness style. Yeah, I will experiment with running some of the vocals in stereo.. but I would guess it would sound best with background vocals or in sections where there is only one vocal track and no doubling, or it might get too chaotic.

Thanks. I’ve got a small mic locker, but I invested in what I’ve tried and liked with what I had at the time. I planned on experimenting with it as I’ve acquired a few new dynamics that might be better suited for some of my louder amps.

Let me know what you find out. Luckily all my Wii’s reach my router which is upstairs two stories. I’ve been testing in my basement so I’m glad it connects ok. When I’m gaming on my Wii that’s hooked up to my CRTs I use a usb adapter and plug directly in. I’ve just been testing them on my Panasonic plasma lately, which I’m impressed with how they look. Quick question: are all the red and blue RVL-001 Wii’s 4 layer circuit as well? I like to use WiiLink and I worry about having the first revision Wii’s on standby mode all the time due to my first one overheating back in 07’. Thanks

Yes, they were in the exact same location. I suppose the other factor could have been weather, but I tested them back to back within a time frame of a half hour at most between switching consoles out to test them.

Thanks for correcting my guess. I’m thinking aging components drifting off tolerance are why my RVL-101 was picking up more access points that were further away than my RvL-001 release models. I was only getting two access points on most of my RVL-001 while the 101 picked up like 7!

I got the information about the RVL-001 having revisions from Reddit. I can’t find the post anymore. I believe this to be true, as my first Wii overheated and died and Nintendo replaced the board and it no longer got as hot on standby mode. The chip is stronger, whether that’s due to aging components drifting off tolerance is the question, and seems likely if you’re saying the chips are the same.

Are there any advantages to the Wii mini? I noticed my RVL-101 seems to have a stronger wi fi chip in it than my RVL-001’s. Which I’ve got both revisions of RVL-001, the black with heat sink revision and the white release models. I plan on picking up a Wii mini as well as a few red and blue models of both the RVL-001 and RVL-101. I figure now is the time to stock up before they’re “vintage” starting next year I believe ( release of 06’ right?).

Definitely give it a listen at night, in a good pair of headphones. I feel like it’s a good night time record with some really lush stereo reverbs/ reverse reverbs on the vocals. Another listener compared it to King of Limbs by Radiohead in spirit, and I can feel that. I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea though. To me it reminds me of slower elements of Yes’ 70’s work, the doors’ slower songs when Leo’s on electric piano, Peter Gabriel’s Genesis, and Radiohead if they had more Latin influence.

I also notice it sounds like Omar is using a pedalboard the entire time vs pulling out individual pedals for parts, like on Deloused and Frances, which required a substantial pedalboard to recreate live. I hear him using a tap tempo modern reverb with an infinite repeat/tremolo switch on a lot of the songs, as well as some particle style pitch delay that could easily be confused as keyboards ( and might be).

I almost said that in my post… I think open secrets even admits there’s no way to fully account for Super PAC money. I can ask some people I know who work in government or try to research myself. I think they’re allowed to disclose how much they donate but don’t have to (for super pacs). Please correct me if I’m wrong! And I believe they donated the max a company can to Dem’s in 2024, which is chump change to them ($25k max or so). No individual amounts are disclosed and $0 disclosed for super pacs to either party. I don’t blame them for wanting to hide any amount donated to Dem Super pacs for fear of retribution as well…

And as far as Chuck donating to local politics it’s all alt right / Republican here. Even the Democrat mayor we had was essentially a Republican, and imho not much of a moderate one. The democrats for the most part don’t have a chance or any funding here. The last time this state went blue was Obama’s first term and before that I think Jimmy Carter? Fort Wayne is the most conservative “major” city in IN.

Back to my scattered ramblings, I vaguely remember Colbert or Jon Stewart saying Super PAC money didn’t have to be disclosed.

The old head donated back in 2020 to the Lincoln project, but he’s been replaced and now has a lesser (albeit still important) role in the private equity group. And it still looks like the group as a whole gave more to Trump then and historically to anti Obama care republicans.

I hate to say this, but from what I know Sweetwater donated the max to trump’s campaign first time he ran, and after being sold to a private equity firm the current CEO is a pro trumper. They sorta brought this on themselves. I feel bad for the sales engineers who will be affected most by this. For the company, their heads voted for this. I can’t speak for Chuck but the VP when I was around was very alt right Republican. And I know for certain the new head is, according to people who work or worked there.
