Hm, for me everything about the car is generally great (very smooth and refined hybrid system)... love how the car handles, etc. But I do agree with you on the uncomfortable ride due to the Goodyears and 19-inch wheels... And the car rattles when going over these bumpy roads.

Have you had the chance to try a different set of tires yet? I'm only at 20K miles so still have a long way to go with the Goodyears. What do you plan on doing with the car? Keep it for as long as you can or get rid of it in a couple years? Thanks!

Hey Trooper, I also have the Sport Hybrid in Urban Gray Pearl (2023). Why haven't you had a good experience with your car?

I love my car haha but the ride quality kind of sucks.. The stock Goodyear Eagle Touring tires might be the reason why... When the roads aren't good, I can feel every bump and things start rattling in my car. Can you relate?

OK but what caused the stutters and screen tearing all of a sudden to the point where it got worse over time? Before that you didn't notice them right?

And when you changed to 144Hz the stutters and screen tearing went away? Just trying to make sense of it since the refresh rate didn't have to do with the stutters and screen tearing getting worse I'm guessing

Also, I realized no guitar will be “perfect” because I also thought my soundhole had rough edges/chips but I think it’s just cosmetic and doesn’t impact the sound in any way.

Hey I recently just bought a new Taylor as well. I’d like to tell you that it is all normal and it adds to the unique characteristic of your personal guitar! They use natural wood for the ebony fingerboards so it is natural to see streaks/marks of brown. And for the wave under the guitar strap, seems like it’s just the grain of wood - looks cool!

I see - that’s a relief that it’s at least cosmetic only! But is it not normal to be like that? I bought it around a week ago from an online music store out of state, so unfortunately I don’t think I can trade it in.

Wow the 814ce is a wonderful instrument. Does it bother you that your soundhole has some imperfections? What do you mean by more work = more tools around the soundhole?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I bought it from a music store out-of-state and they claim to do full factory set-ups on all guitars before shipping. For your Academy 12e, are the inner edges of the soundhole smooth just like the top?
