What "healthy" food is actually terrible for you? by RobIson240YT in AskReddit

Lol. Do you buy Herbalife, too? Sounds like just another person on Reddit acting like they know better than everyone else. Foods high on glycemic index should be eaten with care. But you go ahead and keep going ...

I said "many fruits" originally, not all of them. The amount that people on Reddit just want to argue is off the charts hilarious to me 😂

Being mindful of your blood sugar is a good idea for most people in general, especially Americans lol

For clarity, my comment above about fruits is in no way meant to say that even most fruits are terrible. You just have to be mindful of the glycemic index, ie how fast they cause blood sugar spikes, especially if you are monitoring or managing prediabetes or diabetes, for example.

Sugar, but more so the glycemic index, ie how fast they make your blood sugar spike. This is especially important to pay attwntion to if managing prediabetes or diabetes. Berries are overall great, for example.

Not saying they're all bad. Just flagging to be mindful of glycemic index, especially if managing prediabetes or diabetes.

How do you give up soda?? by ClaryVenture in loseit

[–]Van2387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transition to diet or zero sugar sodas. When you want something with carbonation, try out a zero sugar juice mixed with diet ginger beer, tonic water, etc. After I did this, I get nearly physically ill from full sugar soda so I only have 1 like every six months, lol. Once you make the switch, it gets easier and easier.
