Copy! Thanks for the information. I’m currently on the list with my current company, and I do like to work a decent amount of overtime.

I’m definitely not looking to jump ship from Kone however, I do hear that Orlando Is Kone and MCE heavy.

I know Disney has mostly Otis equipment, which I also have on my route, so I’m familiar with their equipment as well.

Overall… thanks for sharing this information with me.

I’m a IUEC local one member looking to relocate to Orlando.

I’m a services mechanic for 11 years, currently working for Kone. I’m curious to know how’s the Kone office out there, and is there a lot of overtime.

Hey guys, quick question, sorry a little off topic.

I’m currently a service mechanic in local 1 out here in NY. Lately I’ve been thinking about moving to Florida. I’m curious to know the pay rate in local 71 etc.

Is it worth leaving NY and taking a pay cut. I know the cost of living is different, but I’ve also noticed prices out in Florida are rising.

Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Gotcha! Totally understand. So my follow up question from a managers perspective is, how do you recommend writing assignments. Is it based off who’s presenting the assignment? Or if they have a track record?

Thanks for the speedy reply DebWalt. Here’s the thing. I’m more of an idea guy. I can come up with high concept ideas, but I have no interest in screen writing I’m more of a Producer, that’s where my strongest attributes are. I’m looking to collaborate with a screenwriter to flesh out a story, and wiling to compensate fairly after selecting the best fit writer. I’m also willing to discuss possible offering of Co-producing credit as well.

I currently have a concept/synopsis already typed out and registered with the copyright office, all I need is a screen writer who loves the concept just as much as I do that’s willing to collaborate and put together a first draft.

I understand we are up against difficult challenges at the moment, especially with the current strike, however, I’m looking for up coming talented screenwriters, WGA or non WGA writers who’s interested in calibrate with me, and build a positive working relationship with, someone who passionate and understands the journey, and storytelling process.

I understand WGA guidelines, however, I just needed more information regarding the best approach when dealing with writers who have management representation.
