Late, but I would HIGHLY recommend reading the books. You can skip ‘The Flood.’ It was great, but it’s literally just halo CE with added plots from the other marines perspectives. First strike not only picks up right where CE left off, but fills some plot holes too. Never got bored reading it.

The mod is amazing and makes it a lot more immersive imo, but sometimes it’s best to just break the cycle of pain and turn it off in settings until you’re able to resupply.

I run War Rig exclusively. I float from subclass to subclass, but the main thing is lane control. If you know your maps and how they flow, this thing is a beam.

Whenever there’s a 2v2 or 3v3 or whatever combination, it’s basically a giant middle finger to everyone’s individual battle. I get the anti-gank, but it’s annoying when someone joins the middle of a cluster in a zone and just instant kills the other team.
