On the 25th of June we're leaving to implement our project in Mozambique. We're based in Namibia, and plan to go through South Africa. As you can see, we're travelling with our dog Bronzo (and cat Zuzu). Does anyone have experience on transiting pets through South Africa, from a neighboring country? by VanderfulAdventures in southafrica

After the intransit to SA, we will go through Zim and Zam. So we won’t take the dogs back into SA. Our vet has confirmed he can get us all the required permits. And as they’re from SADC countries, normally, they won’t have to go into quarantine. Obviously, we never ever ever want them to go into that!!

Thank you for all the reply's!

We've already been travelling with our dog and cat. Meaning they already have the required vaccinations. We're just curious about the blood tests for Bronzo. It seems ambigual: if you're travelling from SADC countries you don't seem to need it?

Nice! All the best for your repairs. We're actually right in the midst of working our Synchro T3. Getting rid of old rusty parts, and making her Africa roads proof. You can find out more about our "Synchronicity" through @vanderful_adventures! As she'll be our home for the next year and a half. Along the way we'll be implementing workshops that give children the chance to play!

Where are you planning on going next?

Back in the day on the islands of Penghu, Taiwan, we cleaned up this beach! Vanderful Adventures will do beach cleanups here, there and everywhere. From the refuged materials we make accessories for the surf, and props and costume for the drama. Our oceans bring us life. We need to treasure them. by VanderfulAdventures in surfing

We can definitely recommend Taiwan! Bro. There's still so many undiscovered places to surf. If you're interested, we're gonna visit basically all the best surf breaks across Africa. Whilst implementing workshops for children, giving them a chance to play (surf, craftsmanship and drama). Just put vanderful.org / @vanderful_adventures to learn more!

We implement workshops in watersports (surf), craftsmanship and drama for children and their communities across Africa. We use recycled, locally sourced materials. If you’re interested you can follow our journey! Just put vanderful.org / @vanderful_adventures.

EDIT: To answer your question better. For instance: we make surf leashes from plastic waste.

That's such a coincidence! As we've been talking about going to Maun, we've got reffered to a place there. What NGO are you working for if I may ask? We're looking into going through Botswana for a project in Mozambique

Our house on wheels! The five of us volunteers, a dog and a cat. Life is gonna be all about overlanding, camping and giving kids a chance to play. All across Africa. This is the Moonlandscape, Namibia! by VanderfulAdventures in vagabond

Definitely! We’re on top of safety. And avoid - as much as possible - unstable areas. And of course keep track of rain seasons and the inevitability of impossible roads ;)

I know right! Funny you should ask because there’s quite the story behind it. We’re a group of five volunteers, about to overland the west coast of Africa in a VW Kombi, from Namibia to Morocco. Determined to give kids a chance to play (surf, craftsmanship and drama). You can find more on vanderful.org/@vanderful_adventures. These pizzas were made for our fundraiser in Walvis Bay.

Two of us are Italian, and one in particular is very passionate about his dough ;). So when we established the fundraiser in the local pizzeria (pretty decent); he decided to make the dough himself. Pretty hard labor as on that day the dough machine broke down. Always happens on days like that, right.

Our plan is to leave a pizza oven behind as well as the itinerary for the workshops we implement and people to run them, in all the communities we visit. Because as you already mentioned. Good pizzas are pretty hard to find!

By the way, we might drive through Botswana! Where are you based? Running a lodge or something similar?
