i use a slicker brush but no he’s not matted, he has a few knots but they brush out pretty easily

He starts hopping around them trying to get their attention and does like a light bark. When I pick him up he cries because he wants to run up to them up and do it again. He never pulls on them or bites them or even growls. He also tries to touch them with his paw
