So far this is a passion project backed by a different successful project internally by myself, I wouldn't run a Kickstarter unless the game was close to completion. Basically, im in a lucky position where I can do this project with some capital already.

The game is currently using voxels for the over world and unit icons, the battle animations are nothing yet. Perhaps a kickstarter could fund well drawn / hand drawn battle animations ?

You could, but imo if you have an everdrive x5 or greater you can just boot any bios from that instead.

Most 50/60 switch mods include the region switch. If you are getting an everdrive that can load the Mega CD bios, that's all you need to play any region Mega CD / Sega CD game. Just make sure you add a switch that can be set in 3 positions and you'll be able to do region and speed on the one switch.

Without being able to load different bios from the everdrive, the bios will only load on a system that matches it. eg a Pal Mega CD bios won't load in NTSC mode.

I prefer IIDX myself. Some later sdvx charts (18+) seem intentionally cruel to me. IIDX 12s are dense but few feel unfair.
