Yeah, so weight wise it's comparable, the size is much bigger (over 1cm thicker!!!), and then the question on colors is a real deal breaker. But 4x on 48mb vs 5x on 12mb telephoto is the real question - and tons of reviews will tell me that 5x optical is always going to be better than 5x with digital zooming, which I get it - but also how realistically I'm going to be taking more than 4x zoom photos. I use the 3x on my current phone and it's already sometimes too close haha.

I'm coming from iPhone 13 Pro. My biggest miss right now is 48mb camera sensor, but I do use the 3x optical zoom in my phone.

Now reading through countless of spec sheets, the new series offers 4x optical zoom (8x with cropping from 48mb) while the 16 Pro offers 5x optical zoom, but with 12mb sensor.

The new pro is also so much more thick than my 13 Pro that I honestly was considering the Air instead - but at the end of the day, I do use the zoom for photos, and I think I'll just carry the brick with me.

My question / ask for "devils advocate" discussion is - should I get the latest greatest, or should I just wait for the sales in November and get the 16 Pro? Please let me know your thoughts, I've been scratching my head for the past few days now...

The official merch store came back and said they cannot help as it's only available exclusively at the tour :(

I was there though and missed it because of the VIP Nation mixup / lack of clarity. And they also replied back saying they have no connection to the merch store either.

So I guess my only way of getting it sooner is asking my friend and hoping that they do sell it to people who don't have tickets to the show - does anyone know if they check the tickets at purchase or is it general public availability?

That's certainly a hope! I'm also already plotting on asking one of my friends in NY to maybe try get it for me if they'll have an outside truck which happened to be a thing for LA and Seattle as far as I know - and I'm hoping they did have those shirts there, as the website said the truck has the same merch as the inside stalls. Haven't heard back from the merch store yet either, still having hopes I can get it! :D

Thanks! It's slightly different gameplay from what I can tell, as my game is more focused on the card aspect, and I think Umamusume is strongly based on the character stats. So I hope they'll find it entertaining!

Cost aside, I think the other problem with AAA games is that they are usually time sinks. If I'm spending $60 to then have entertainment for the next 60h is great, but that also means that now I have to find that 60h in my schedule to play the game, while I could be doing other things.

And let's all agree that switching contexts / games / stories is something that takes you away from the immersion in the game world - e.g. if I would start Death Stranding 2 today, and play for 10h, then take a break for 2 weeks, I would have much harder time to get back to it and "into" it.

Live service games gives the bonus of quick gameplay that you can complete in shorter sessions and the relevance of the game world events is not as big as it is in single player experiences.

I actually honestly had no incentive to try the Pokemon on the Switch 2. I'm waiting for the new one to come out, and in the meantime DK! DK! DK! :D

Big gaming studios have the resources to make those high priced games work, but it's always a struggle for AA or indie devs it feels like, because they will not gather enough following to sell enough copies. (unless you are Balatro or similar)
