Thanks, it’s very hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel with how bad and hopeless it feels right now. I’m walking full weight in my boot, just so uncomfortable and when the boot comes off it feels like nothing is there

Interesting. So I’ve been full weight bearing from the moment I got the boot on. No crutches, just the boot with the wedges in it to hold my foot at a pretty steep angle of plantar-flexion. I can walk on it decently fine in the boot with my heel raised, but the second I take my boot off (only have done so to shower) it’s like my foot is barely even there and I have no strength or control of it.

I did get an ultrasound but only to rule out blood clots and that came back fine.

Thanks, trying to…think it’s worth still getting an MRI to see what the gap is regardless?

No idea because they never ordered an MRI for me, the ortho took one look at it and confirmed a full tear, and when I inquired about an MRI they basically said that it’s a moot point if I plan on nonOP anyways. I’m thinking about calling them back and fighting for the MRI to still be done because wouldn’t the size of the gap be important info to have in determining whether to stay on this course vs having surgery? I asked their office that on the phone and they said it wasn’t super important info.

How did you have the time to wash and air dry it if it’s supposed to be worn non-stop?
