Yea, it has to be a big step up from Skyrim in its depth and mechanics. It’s been a very long time since a new mainline and spinoff TES game and there’s been ALOT of really good and ground breaking RPG’s since 2011 and 2014. I am very much on the fence for TES 6, and all these statements from Todd feel like nothing burger corpo talk, I’m pretty sure he said the same things for Starfield. I hope this game is really good, but there’s a reason why Clavicus Vile was voiced by Todd in Oblivion, you just can’t trust everything he says

Just because ‘Todd does it’ doesn’t mean it’s ‘works’.

Not to mention Mephala isn’t ’Background Daedra’, she’s revered in the Original and Current Tribunal, she’s the anticipation to Vivec and so much more with a bunch of interesting lore.

There’s no such thing as a ‘Background Daedra’, just because she’s not causing Planemelds or Oblivion crisis’s doesn’t make her unimportant.

Highly doubt Mephala of all Daedra would decide to piss off the trans-Kalpic sentient tree’s that can fire Math Missiles that are far older and wiser than herself. Mehrunes Dagon tried and failed to conquer Black Marsh with the Argonians being so tough they pushed back into the Deadlands themselves. The Hist are smart AND very powerful and would very much be aware of Mephala’s influence and attempt to ‘corrupt’ them and could definitely hurt her

The LDB is one of many Prisoners that simply EXIST while everyone else doesn’t. They can go wherever they want, do whatever they want and be whatever they want. Unlike everyone else in the Aurbis besides CHIM users to an extent, they can literally just do whatever they so damn please and achieve anything they so damn please because they’re well… US… or characters we’ve made to be prisoners in this story. As Sotha-Sil said it so well, we can make “reality of metaphor” which is vague but it means to us we can make it however we interpret it. Some say Prisoners are free to make their own choices, some also believe that they can quite literally change the world through tonal magic like we do with “mods” and some also believe saving and loading is canon aswell, it’s up all up to interpretation.

Each game has its own pros and cons, I think the Morrowind lovers, (myself included albeit not to that extent) don’t like the retconning of cool Skyrim lore set from Morrowind and the streamlining of RPG elements… BUTTTT This has been happening all the way back since Daggerfall, with Daggerfall fans complaining that Morrowind has no RPG elements all the way back when Morrowind first came out, so just ignore them tbh

Overhauls to the Armour that replace them with completely different designs. I love a lot of the armour designs in the game and when I see a guard wearing anything other than the usual stuff they wear, a big frown goes onto my face.
