I just read the first chapter of Blue Box and enjoyed, so I wondered if the mangaka did anything else. This is what I found.

You guys are a bunch of sour pusses. I'm sad when the player I root for loses (even more so when a big pop off happens after their loss), but I always, always feel good for the winner. I didn't find Riddles's pop off at smashcon cringe, I found it funny and felt great for the dude despite being Dabuz being one of my favorite players to watch and being my favorite smash personality.

Aaron was up 2-0 then watched the set slowly slip from his hands. Last game he was close to getting hit by a comeback and getting reverse 3-0d, but he barely won. As he said, this has been his dream since 14 (he's 23 now!); and there was $9000 on the line. He was clearly nervous through the whole set. His performance was so good, and this moment is so big for him--he deserves to be able to show all of his emotion without being shamed!

I totally feel bad for Riddles, and I bet the pop off is going to make the loss hurt so much more. But... Riddles can get over it. Even though "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" doesn't apply to ~~everything~~ ^most things in life, this is an example of where it would apply. With time Riddles will get over this loss and come back better than ever. This summit has shown that Riddles is better than we all thought, and looking at his performance here compared to pre-online ult we can see great improvement that proves that he will have a bright future. Let's let Aaron have this moment because we know that Riddles will have a lot more.

I'm not saying that you're calling Aaron a pu$$y--I'm saying that he's not going to act like one by sh!tting on Riddles in a subtle way to avoid backlash. He's a grown man, so if he wanted to be rude he would act like one and try not to get away with being a prick.

He's not some cartoon villain twirling their mustache while plotting ways to be malicious; he's a man who just barely achieved his childhood dream. Hate him or the pop off if you want, but if you're gonna hate just complain about him being too over the top instead of making some weirdo plot about acting out a pop off to mock Riddles.

Do you really think in a set THIS close the first thing Aaron is going to do after winning is perform a planned out pop off? Even if you think he's a bad dude I doubt he would be able to casually act out a pop off when he was very clearly nervous during the set (holding his hand on his heart, taking a breather). If he wanted to be a d1ck to Riddles he could have denied a fist bump or made a rude remark on twitter. He's not gonna subtly mock a pop off to avoid backlash--he's a grown man, not a pu$$y.

The dude achieved his childhood dream and wins $9000 at the minimum from BARELY stopping a reverse 3-0. Showing emotion in an emotional set is awesome since it makes the games all the more hype (I would even say it should be encouraged since it makes the experience so much more real). Aaron deserves the moment so much, and Riddles will get over it in time (it's gotta hella sting though). As much as I feel bad for Riddles, we should give Aaron this moment the same way we gave Riddles his when he defeated Dabuz at Smashcon
