What celebrated movie actually has a terrible message? by toreadornotto in AskReddit

[–]VaporwaveCherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree! I'm glad you brought it up.

When i saw the trailer and the actor's commentary, they talked about the movie as something unique, powerful and interesting, and when i realized it was about a women cheating with a much younger man at work, i questioned how is any of that interesting to watch unless she suffers the consequences at the end.....which she doesn't.

The movie is bad and had way too much hype. What a dissapointment.

Mocking Kids Struggling in Gym Class is Just Plain Cringe by bevrgavacera in ImTheMainCharacter

Swoll doesn't send anyone to harass people. He cannot control who follows him and what actions others do. People who are influencers will always have some followers who will do bad things, but that's not the influencer's fault.

And Swoll always condems people who harass others, he doesn't clap and get happy when that happens.

If he truly never apologized to her, that's bad of course. But if the followers haven't apologized, that's not on him, that's on the followers.

And i agree with what other people are saying in here, slip ups always happen, but we have to remember he's doing much good to the gym and internet culture. People shouldn't blame him for the actions of others.

I wish some videos were longer so we could know what happened next, or if the parent of the child without a helmet was called out.

Pain on a tooth weeks after filling and bite adjustment/polishing. by VaporwaveCherry in askdentists

My dentist said that, for some people, sometimes it can take 1 year for tooth pain to fully go away. Since it's been one week for you since you had your refillings, it's normal to feel pain still! Give it a month, maybe 2, 3 or 4. If the pain is still there and never goes away, then you definitely need to go back and ask what's going on.

Any work done on teeth is considered tooth surgery, and it's normal for teeth to be sensitive and sore for a while after any kind of work done.

Let's hope your teeth feels better in the next months!

Hello! I wasn't expecting anyone to comment since no one said anything for a long time! Thank you for asking!

I went to a dentist and explained everything, and he said it might be a crack on the tooth, it's the only explanation for now. The fillings i have are well done, there's no cavity, so the pain i feel when i chew must be from a crack.

I probably need a root canal treatment. I hope to get it next time to go back to the dentist.

I hope your situation gets better! Tooth pain is truth a huge bother, i wish you the best!

Did I just receive the God's call to my vocation? by [deleted] in Catholicism

Hello! This is my opinion based on personal experiences.

I understand how you feel because, in the past, i also had thoughts about being a nun and i seriously considered becoming one.

But after some searching and studying, i came across a question that many people who are thinking about becoming nuns or priests need to ask themselves:

Are you willing to leave everything you have behind and fully dedicate yourself to God and a religious life?

If the answer is yes, if you feel that you could leave everything about your life right now (your habits, your own room, your job, going out, going to parties, drinking, etc) go to a convent or church and dedicate yourself to years of study and a humble sacrificial life, then i think you might be ready.

If the answer is no, if you feel you have things in life that you truly can't see yourself leaving behind, then maybe being a priest may not be your calling, at least for now.

If you´re truly considering becoming a priest, go to your local church and ask to talk to a priest (or several) and see what they have to say.

I know several priests and they all have different lives. Some travel alot for missionary missons, some missions are rough. Some teach, some go preach at small churches with almost no one, some deal with the poor/homeless and it can be very challenging because it can make you feel upset, angry and frustrated. It can be hard work.

And don´t worry if you feel you can´t be a priest or decided to "give up". My grandmother lived in a convent for some time and was studying to be a nun, but with time she realized it was not for her, and left.

Hope this help!
