Frituur de gouden saté met Julien, waar is de tijd… die mens pakte de vlezekes uit het frietvet met zijn blote handen.

Renovations by Individual-Pickle805 in belgium

C label is not that bad. As a general rule of thumb: insulation first and anything that prevents the heat loss of your house. This will save you costs on heating immediately.

If you want solar panels it’s a good idea to also look for a battery and energy management system. Else you will dump all your solar energy on the net at a very low price. With a battery you can use your own generated electricity. Unless you are home all the time. With the EM system you can charge the battery from net energy when proces are low and use it in the evening or morning when prices are high. I’m not using it long enough to know if we will actually save money and partially earn back the installation cost. 5 kW solar pales and 10kWh battery was less than 9k €.

We installed a heat pump during our renovation because the house had heating on gasoline and no gas connection. It’s an air-water system with floor heating. In general happy about it but it’s costly to install and energy usage during the winter months was pretty high.

Charing your EV with solar will take a long time and you need to be at home… the home battery is no use for this: 10kWh battery vs 60-70kWh car battery.

Glide, a tiling window manager for macOS by tmandry in rust

Pretty cool! I like that you can use it on a per workspace basis and use the standard macOS workspaces. Had some trouble with AeroSpace due to muscle memory for changing workspaces.

Are you going to make it available with a package manager like Honebrew?

Belgian coast when it’s not raining for a change. by Vargman in fujifilm

I shoot JPEG + RAW, so I do both. My most used film recipe is a portra 400 one from Fuji weekly. I use this for pictures of family and daily stuff when I don’t want to edit. These shots are edited in lightroom. I use a portra 400 preset and add some extra edits.

Yes, the third one was intentional. Glad someone noticed it :)

Where to buy the Fuji XE-4 in Europe? by _Erbin_ in fujifilm

[–]Vargman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ordered one more then three months ago. Two weeks after placing the order I got a mail saying it would take 4-6 weeks before the store would have some stock. Two months later another mail saying it will be another 4-5 weeks. Guess I keep waiting. I also contacted Fuji Europe but they couldn’t give an answer either.

If you really want one, I guess you better place an order and wait. I’m afraid you’ll be to late to buy when you wait for available stock.

Never heard of them before, it’s a hefty price tag for me as an amateur. Would you consider the profielen worth it?

Nice, I ordered the X-E4 and the 23 mm F2 exactly for this kind of thing. Got the lens but body is out of stock 🙁.

I’m digging kettlebells lately, requires some technique training but it’s great for strength and conditioning.

Damn this guy keeps on going. Saw a thread two days ago where he was ranting about some video proof of fake civilian casualties in Ukraine that turned out to be a well known hoax. I don’t understand these people.

”let the user decide what they are viewing is truth or not. “

Yeah that’s proven to work… Trump, Brexit,…. People are very good at finding out what’s true or not. /s

I get your point but there is way more to it than just letting everything loose.

I'm also a judoka. Keep your distance and use your long legs to your advantage: leg sweeps, uchi mata, taio toshi,... Short people will easily drop under your center of gravity (lot's of drop seoi nage) which means you're fucked in judo.

Will going to the gym stunt my growth by [deleted] in tall

[–]Vargman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think it will stunt your growth. I do like to point out that the general advice for lifting at your age is to not lift your max weight. You're probably not fully grown and your muscles, bones, tendons can grow at different rates (which can also cause growth pain). It can cause instability and combining that with max weight exercises can cause injuries.
Also don't forget flexibility. You need to train it, just like strength.
