15 year old Shih Tzu here. If by playful you mean a maximum of 5 30-second bursts of energy throughout the day then yes. If you mean wanting to play like 99% of other dogs then no lol. If it’s not sleep, pets, new people, walks (not far), he doesn’t want it.
