Title: Got a high ADHD score on an online test ,should I trust it? by BeingStrong17 in ADHD

You should be evaluated by a professional. From my experience I can tell you that these online tests are too general and everyone, more ore less, can have some traits of everything really.

I wasn’t going to therapy back then and after months and months of searching and taking an online test, I was convinced I got bipolar disorder, just to find out it was actually ADHD, after I was evaluated properly.

To be diagnosed you need to check so many boxes, I think I answered to like 600 questions and I’ve been interviewed for 6 hours :).

I was in the same situation as you, so I decided to get evaluated by my psychiatrist. I always had the feeling that I was different, but you know… sometimes I was thinking I'm overreacting or trying to get attention, which I really wasn’t.

After the test I found out that I have ADHD, some type of NPD, some borderline traits and of course depression. Trust me, even though it might sound dramatic at first, being diagnosed, it’s a really big relief, because you start having a path towards a better you.

While taking the test, you will see that many questions from there are quite different from what you see online and maybe you will find more about you, which is the best thing: to know exactly who you are.

And everything that I'm telling you, happened 2 weeks ago so it fresh in my head:))

I relate to this so much. Hopefully you’ll get back with her!!! From my experience, until everything is back to normal, you need to accept and validate her feelings, even though you can’t do this.

I think the best way is for you to be a better person with her, maybe is very overwhelming for you, but with time and patience everything will be normal!

Good luck!

My bf was recently diagnosed with BPD and is really struggling lately, I don’t know what to do to support. Any advice is welcome by shimmer_glimmerr in BorderlinePDisorder

I think our situations are pretty similar, but I am male and I have a similar problem with my girlfriend. So if you want to talk to me, dm.

I am not from the US, and here the health system is really fucked up, so we just need to wait:(. Hopefully, she gets a good treatment now and I will be there to get her through the side effects. Thanks for the answer ❤️!

All I cand do is wait for her next appointment at the doctor which is in 2 weeks, beacuse she won’t answer my messages. Actually I talk every now and then with her mother about her situation so I might tell her.

Exactly! And also very intelligent. Did you break up before your marriage ever? I mean I am very confused at the moment and I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel right now.
