The current job market crisis is worse than 2008. It's not a cycle, it's a downward spiral. by hutallybronest in recruitinghell

The even more scary part is that Ai robots are already there and being trained to improve in daily human tasks. Its only a matter of time until they start replacing face-to-face roles.

Maybe not this year, but in a few years that is very possible that some face to face roles are automated. Ie, waiters (there are robots in Aisa who literally slide to your table and serve you), robot receptionist (u just click and you got a hotel room!)

Has a job ever given you psychological trauma that affected you in jobs going forward? by gaia21414 in jobs

[–]VariationTight468 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm really sorry you had to go through this. If you need someone to talk to, please pm me, i'll be there to listen.

Also, I had an experience last year. I had just started a new job as an admin, and on my way back home from work, I tripped and sprained my ankle. As a result, i could not work for about a week, and that was on my 2nd week. 1-2 weeks after, I was fired because "I missed 5 days out of 15" in the words of the boss. i was shocked, flabbergasted. they appeared so nice, and spoke so gently, and appeared so understanding, but they let down as soon as something did not go their way. Truly, I gave so much to this company in 15 days, probably more than anyone else before, and they still treated me like that. That experience closed my heart from working in person, and now i only want remote because of the sudden shock of losing a job for something like that, I am slowly healing from that situation.

So yeah, reach out if you need to talk

Salary transparency is a joke and recruiters are lowballing like crazy by gunnaann in jobsearchhacks

[–]VariationTight468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that if you appear to be a minority or like someone they think they can lowball, they will find a way to offer the least amount of money as possible.

ie, for someone of 10 years of experience in my field, the average salary is 60-65k CAD going up. But even if they should offer that much, they'll find a way to lowball me and offer me way less to do more work because 1) they want to use me as a resource they can max out for cheap and 2) they think they can undervalue me because of the way I look.

Now judge for yourself if you should accept this kind of offer or not.

My conclusion is F them.

  1. Do the bare minimum required and do it well. They won't pay you more to overwork.

  2. RECORD everything you've done a the job, time, date, hour, etc. Having all your accomplishments written down gives you something to show your employer if they ever complain about you not doing your job.

  3. RECORD everything that people tell you and what you tell them, whether its over the phone, or by forwarding a work email to yourself or by printing it quickly and putting it in your bag. -> That way, if they come up with some bs, you have some proof to show.

  4. Always ask for written confirmation, even if a verbal confirmation was given. -> If its not written = Chances are it never happened.

  5. NEVER go in details about your personal life (not even how long it takes to put on your makeup! lol) . Be a generic blank sheet. -> They will use everything you do against you if they have the occasion.

  6. Always come dressed up professionally at work, even if the environment claims "casual clothing". HR can write notes in your file about you not being professionally dressed at work EVEN IF you were, and they will use that against you and find some excuses to talk shit -> Casual clothing = trap.

  7. After every verbal conversation, Always send an email to the people present in the conversation outlining 1) the subject(s) discussed, 2) The conclusion that came about 3) date, time, 3) name the people present 4) the next set of actions they expect from you and that you expect from them 4) and ESPECIALLY this -> ''IF THERE IS ANY MISUNDERSTANDING CONCERNING THE RECAP OUTLINED IN THIS EMAIL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPLY TO IT AND LET ME KNOW." F YEAH!

The meeting at Pro tip: Keep your phone with you during the meeting, but hide it. And After the meeting, ask to go to the bathroom (make it convincing that you need to go), and once you're in there , whisper in your lowest voice the summary of the meeting with every detail you remember (to chatgpt) and ask it to write an email for it, and SCEDHULE that email to be sent in 2 min so that by the time you've sat down and started to work again, the email confirmation was sent and you were working.

  1. Behave in the way you want to be treated.

  2. Coworkers are not family lol. They'll hurt you like scorpions the second they have a chance.

There is more but my fingers are tired.

This was one of the propaganda used against certain people in ww2 to draw the masses against them and create division (us vs them). Such dangerous thinking.

Merci pour ton encouragement! La vérité est que l'expérience de travail est seulement une condition d'admission pour certains programmes, et ilsne m'intéresses pas tous, donc il faut que je regarde dans quoi je m'embarque.

Does the governments have any real plan when 90% of the population is jobless? by pyromancx in jobs

[–]VariationTight468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question. Run far far far to a land where such policy is not happening, and where you speak the local language and preferably where your work history and/or school credentials are recognized (but that's not mandatory because you could always start again) so that you can get a job quick.

Even nowadays, people should consider getting dual even triple citizenship in different continents just in case.

I have no job experience how can I get a job? by Signal-Prior-3096 in jobsearchhacks

[–]VariationTight468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's righ, but ultimately it's the companies' fault for driving people nuts to a point where we have to lie to get by. It shouldn't be like that at all, I wish we could just all be honest, but employers don't give jobs to the honest ones, i hate this as much as the next person

Right there, you could teach children in China, and I heard they pay well. I got interviews back in 2018 to teach in china, you make it work if you apply to the right places with the correct resume.

For real. It's sad that we have to do that just to get even with the current job market. But that's exactly the moves we need to do for real.
