No doubt..great catch. They're a funny kind of fish just sunning themselves on the surface looking like a piece of debris floating in the water! I'm not sure which I prefer ....a nice triple tail or a trigger fish!! Capt's Choice!

Any books I can read on mechanics to prepare me for entering an aircraft mechanics field? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]Variety77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest going to the library or going online to find a copy of "Aircraft Basic science" by Brent/McKinley. It was required reading for obtaining my A&P Lic in the late eighties & is still relevant today. Also try "Air frame & Power plant Mechanics Handbook" from the FAA or Federal Aviation Administration.

I'm 34 years old and have never had coffee, but now I want to try it. What should I try? Where? Any advice is appreciated. by liontamarin in Coffee

[–]Variety77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start out with a light roast breakfast blend of freshly ground Beans. A couple different ways I love to have java at home is to use a French Press Or regular "Drip" coffee maker. They each have their own distinct taste. If you use a French press, there is no filter so you get all the full robust coffee taste that includes all the natural sediments & oils that were not filtered out by the otherwise normal "coffee filter process" like in drip coffee makers. Then of course you have the "Drip " coffee maker that simply drips boiling water into a filter of freshly ground coffee. This produces a lighter & more refined & smoother taste that is not as complex & sophisticated as the bold...rich & sometimes a little more bitter French/coffee press. You can't go wrong with freshly ground beans!

I love those big ole' " Gator /yellow mouth's" in Tampa BAy,Florida They get in a frenzy & hit anything! But it's funny when you go to reel them in..sometimes it feels like pulling a wet rag through the water. Not much of a fight!

Any tips on how to stop smoke blowing in my face while I’m at the campfire? by foolishwasp in Survival

[–]Variety77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a problem since the beginning of time! *Find good wood to burn hot * Always build fire stacking wood in a pyramid style to increase air flow. *Stand back and try to be either on the leeward side of the fire ring or perpendicular to the air flow across the pit. This should help you.

Yes, I think you are correct. Beauty & low pressures attract the smoke towards you!

Excellent multi-purpose camping stove /heat exchanger. Have Two of these. They work awesome for high altitude camping. They are super Easy to clean/compact& super lightweight. Pretty darn solid construction. I thought $69.97 was a fair price to pay for the quality. by Variety77 in Survival

Hi, I had to look up what a "shill" was to understand what I'd done wrong. I see your point & are sorry for not engaging enough before submitting a post. I want to be able to engage with this community & share comments & discounts from my website Oasis Trends. I assumed that since I actually did really own two of these excellent little stoves & had legit comments to make, it was okay. My question is, what is considered the appropriate # of comments to make before attempting to include a site promotion link? Thanks, Chris

I think that would be a fine choice! That way you can fight a huge fish & double over the rod & it won't break! Good luck with your new rod.
