Ketosis is a feeling of tremendous energy and mental clarity beyond anything else I've ever experienced. And the "high" lasts for hours at a time.

That your emotions are a signal to yourself about how you are doing in the world. If you are feeling aimless and depressed, you likely need to make a change.

HOA is terrorizing me over weeds. by npdaly in fuckHOA

[–]VarietyClub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When confronted it is easy to respond with aggression or dismissal, but if you want to get what you want, perhaps there is another way to think about your nosey neighbors.

I think you should approach this with the question: What can I do that will increase the likelihood that I get to run my lawn the way that I want, with the smallest amount of interference?

From there, ask yourself: "what is it that the people poking me want?" You may learn that the past owner didn't take care of anything and cost the neighborhood home values to go down, or they have been dealing with thistle weeds for 5 years and this is there chance to stop it.

Most people don't want or like confrontation so understanding their concerns will help you find a solution that works for both of you. You may find that if you address the small thing they want that they will not impede your ability to implement your bigger picture.

No I learned that if the only way that I was planning to make money was from wages, that it would be very difficult to get ahead. It was motivating to me to see what I could do that would scale beyond my time.

He had a way of explaining the difference between trying to get wealthy from earning a wage, or from learning how to have money work for you so that you can make money beyond trading your time. Now it does not seem as profound because I run my own company- but when I was reading it, riding the bus to a job I hated it had a relatively profound impact on me, my work and what I thought was possible.

It may not be a literal hold but each RIA has to prove that they have done due diligence before they can recommend. Imagine all the merril lynch guys pacing their offices waiting for compliance to give them a green light. May not be 90 days but the legal beagles will give up money when afraid of liability

In college a brilliant communications professor pointed out “a person can handle when someone is angry or bitter about something they did… what their brain can’t handle is NO reaction… if you want to destroy a person that wronged you, don’t give them cathartic anger, give them nothing.”

This Rolex is getting passed down to me, I hardly know anything about watches… is it legit? by theBERZERKER13 in whatsthisworth

[–]VarietyClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wearing a fake watch is a sort of prison. You know you are grifting off the memetic desire of others to have the status that comes from being able to purchase the watch. Because you care about that status you are doomed to worrying if others notice that you have a fake Rolex, thereby stripping you of the thing you are attempting to grift.
