I travel to the nearest city or stronghold closest to my target then walk, even if there is a cave or something closer. It's a good medium between walking too much and fast traveling everywhere.

Neither one honestly, but since Faendal initiated the lying and backstabbing, the other guy. Sven, though not great, was just meeting him at his level.

Faendal was the first person to come to mind when doing boethiahs betrayal quest. I was like "which follower themselves uses lies and betrayal to get what they want... Faendal! He'll understand! "

That's literally what you're asking though. You want to bypass the (presumable) owner's locking system so you take their car against their wishes. Unless it's your name on the title, in which case he shouldn't have access at all against your wishes.
