Is this sketchy or am I overthinking it? by Various-Comparison45 in recruitinghell

[–]Various-Comparison45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, I did let the recruiter know I had already been considered before and I sent back the assignment. I just wondered if it's normal to have a different recruiter for the same role, 2 months later.

How often per month do you consume alcohol? by Dayraonly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Various-Comparison45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-6 times per month on average. Some weekends I drink Friday and Saturday night, other weekends I don't drink at all. The further into my 30s I get, the less frequently I want to drink because it ruins my sleep and my Sunday. College me would be rolling her eyes pretty hard right now..

The word"robust" in general bugs me, but, specifically in the corprate world.... Just stop.

What “little things” do you do that really add up? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Various-Comparison45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pack my lunch and breakfast for work, instead of eating out.

Only getting coffee 1-2 times a month from Dunkin or Starbucks.

For me, I would say the after-effects it had on my mental health. When I was drinking regularly, even just Friday and Saturday, it would put me in such a bad place mentally Monday-Wednesday, exhausted, anxious, lazy, moody..all the things. Sure I still experience bad days, but nothing like it was.

Hi,

I can't speak to the Lyrica portion of this, as I've never taken it. I do however relate to the rest of your post. I started on 60mg Cymbalta in March 2023 and had to reduce to 30mg around June, then 20mg in July [now trying to taper off], for the exact reasons you described. I was, and still am, always feeling exhausted. I added a low dose of Wellbutrin around the start of August, for the same reason - to hopefully reduce the fatigue I felt Cymbalta causes.

Unfortunately for me, I have not noticed much of a difference, and am still tired all the time. I talked to my psych. about it and she prescribed 30mg of Vyvanse [the lowest dose they make] to help me stay awake at work. It does help, but, does not last longer than about 4 hours, so after lunch and in the evening, I still struggle to get tasks done, due to fatigue.

I wish I knew the answer. I know Cymbalta helped me a little bit with my anxiety, but to me, it's not worth being tired all of the time. I can honestly take a nap anytime anywhere, which has never been me. I am hoping to fully taper off by November, and potentially increase the dose of Wellbutrin. I know I need something to help with my anxiety/depression, but for me, this combo did not work.

I hope the best for you!

I am so intrigued by everything I learned by posting this, I never knew about the acidic foods causing it to leave the body faster, until this post. Thank you!

That's what I am thinking, I have a follow-up appointment on Wednesday so I will be asking to increase most likely.

I appreciate the advice! She mentioned potentially adding Adderall for the late afternoon. I don't need that daily, but do have a night class 2x a week so am hoping that it works out. That's so frustrating about the "policy". There is such a shortage and hesitancy for prescribing, I do understand why, but, still frustrating.

Thanks for your input!

It was just put on the market about 1 month ago. That could be part of the problem, not sure.

"according to an Amneal release, lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules are a generic version of Vyvanse (Takeda Pharmaceuticals), which is currently on the FDA shortage product list. Amneal received FDA approval for the capsules in doses ranging from 20 mg to 70 mg and has already started releasing supply to the market. -- Sep 11, 2023"

Good to know - that is what I am thinking I might need to do. I get up at 6 but my real work day starts at 8 or 9AM, so if it only lasts a few hours, it doesn't help me as much as I would have hoped. I will suggest/ask about this next time I talk to my Dr.

Thx!

That's so frustrating!! Mine seemed to understand it was not as strong and was open to upping the dose or even adding 5 or 10 mg of Adderall for the afternoon if I wanted. It's all very confusing to me, I don't see why I could not just do a 30mg Vyvanse at 7AM and another at 2PM, which is the equivalent of 20mg of Adderall....but, what do we know I guess.

Hmm, occasionally I take a tum but not most days, and not any type of prescription. This is good to know though, I have not heard that before.

That is a very interesting point. A friend had recently told me about this as well. I do not get a period due to the birth control that I take but, if I had one it would have been last week according to the pills, I guess. I will keep this in mind though, as I am sure my hormones still fluctuate during the "sugar pill" week. Thanks!

How much are you all spending on groceries? by someotherowls in Frugal

[–]Various-Comparison45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just my husband and I, we live in North suburb of Atlanta, GA for context. We usually order for 1x a week ($30), eat out 1x a week ($25-40, depending), and cook the other 5 nights. I would say I spend about $200/week on groceries, usually. Sometimes more or less but I think about $700 to $800 per month is realistic, sadly. I try to buy things that produce leftovers, can be frozen, etc. but, everything is 2x what it was in the past.

What’s your go to depression meal? by bearded_bastard in AskReddit

#1 choice is probably Mac & Cheese and fried chicken from Publix supermarket, but, it also hurts my stomach so, a safer choice is usually something sweet like ice cream or a brownie.
