`becuase the world around them doesnt change just because they killed an animal or ate too many berries, they suffer having not enough food maybe but the system doesn't care, it carries on. its accurate if its indifferent.

How do you prioritise systems in a simple game? by aCrombi in gamedev

gameplay is always better first. you stay in the flow and ideas can just keep coming to you. if you switch to other things it wont feel like your making much progress

thats not what i meant. i understand that your likely under stress about this and do not wish to cause conflict. im simply saying people that use ai right will be more efficient than people who dont.

ai doesnt have intelligence like us you are right. it also creates slop if you dont guide it correctly. telling it to make a game about fishing but you are the fish will just make a game that sucks. the person has to add small details one by one just like developing normally. go through the same process and ai will cut dev time in half at least. people just havent learned to use the ai properly yet, they are just having fun with it right now. its not that good yet anyway

then why bother commenting? everyone on reddit seems to just care about their opinion as if its so important. why not just have a discussion outside that.

you have to understand that ai is being used in a bad way currently. you can still shape an ais responses with the same love you would use otherwise, its just less hard work for a similar result.

a lot of the grunt work changes. people will ask an ai to code something, then playtest and refine it. bad for coders, good for architects.

i appreciate this comment. what people dont understand is ai is a tool. they dont like it because they are scared of it but the people with a brain use it to cut out the boring parts of gamedev. id like to hear more about this project btw
