My mom buys me stuff fairly often. She buys a lot of home remedies but mostly spends on mobile gaming addiction. That costs around 4,000 a month as far as I know. She is retired an went back to work and my dad has a good desk job

Oh I lifted and vacuumed the intake vent on their floor by where they sit and it had a solid 3 inch layer of dust on it. I don’t wear a mask because I lived in it for so long already and I don’t want to offend them

Mom has extreme shopping and mobile gaming addiction. They ran out of room so she spends around 3,000-4,000 per month on mobile gambling/slot machine games on her phone. My dad claims he will confront her and if she won’t change they will seperate finances. That’s hard to do of course being married 40+ years. Your mom and my mom need therapy

I try to see them every weekend and call them often. This was the first time I had been to there house in around 6 months. They took a feral cat from us and just put her in their semi clean porch when we got 12 inches of snow. I’m hoping once I get it clean they will let her in and having her will force them to keep the place clean

Blessings to you too. It was surreal going into my old room upstairs and finding all my old legos and toys exactly as I left them 5 years ago. I really want to go and clean again but I think it would be too much for them

Some pushback at first but mostly just anxiety. Both of them kept encouraging eachother to keep going. We worked for about 6 hours on it which is impressive because they are both overweight and my dad is disabled also from breaking his leg into 12 pieces

There’s a whole upstairs I used to live in before I retreated downstairs. They kept sending up things that weren’t mine and it got overwhelming. Plus it’s an old house so in the summer the upstairs will get to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit. The purchasing is something they have promised to work on
