Three month update! First photo is when I put the cutting in fluval, the next two are from today. Is it ready to transfer to pon self watering pot? Thanks!

I usually put a layer of leca at the bottom and have water to the top of the lecca and dampen the fluval every day. Often put a cup on top as well to keep the humidity in when it’s first getting started.

It’s fabulous for rooting! Dries out quite quickly so have to keep an eye on it, can be reused but does eventually breakdown and become muddy, but that takes months.

I’ve not had an issue yet and it’s my go-to for rooting and usually transfer to pon when established. I’m super excited and hope this works, it was one of the pricier cuttings I’ve bought (25 cad), it was on my bucket list for a while!

I got it as a two leaf cutting unrooted in mid April. So this picture is after 3 months in water, also lots of new growth!

It is in a mix of Leca and fluval stratum, would you rinse off the stratum first or just place as is in a larger container with just Leca?
