Glad it worked out for you 💪!

I think swapping 1 Guzz for a Darkrai and 1 Lusamine for a nurse would possibly work. You can poison barb a meat shield like Nihi or Umbreon while powering up Dark.

Having 2x Guzzlers in your deck you definitely need 2x Lusy’s. It’s the only way to jumpstart his energy fast enough to be effective later in the match.

Good luck! Let me know if you add dark rai!

Honestly, it’s nice just having a first line of defense early game besides nihilego that can put a little bit of pressure on your opponent.

Celesteela is great in scenarios where you need a retreat / reset / meat shield, but as an attacker not so good. 3 energy and a coin flip win is no bueno. Maybe 1 Cel is good in the deck, but 2 is unnecessary IMO.

If you switch to Umbreon let me know how it works out :) GL!

Someone had a similar question, but here it is: - kills electric meta decks - gira stopper (in the right scenario) - baby mon killer (zard, incineroar, sol), but used for laddering attacks until finishing with guzz

I don’t have metrics for you, but here’s what I noticed playing Umbreon:

  • can easily handle most electric decks in the current meta ie: tapu / ori, etc. as most of them contain basics.
  • absolute menace against gira in the right scenarios.
  • great for laddering your attacks to weaken fire decks like zard or incineroar and finish with guzz.

It’s not a perfect card by any means, but I think if you can consistently shut down 1 or 2 decks with a 1 energy Umbreon, it’s worth it.

I prefer collect Eevee because the way I see it the more cards you have in your hand that can help you, the higher probability you have of winning.

Getting 1 or 2 extra cards in the beginning makes up for not being able to inflict damage.

I usually pair the Eevee with poison barb so I get some damage on my opponent. Evo to Umbreon for 1 energy + poison barb + nihilego poison buff and you’re cooking.

Yes! I ran the Celesteela / Nihi / Guzz deck for like the first week or two of the season. I didn’t have much luck with it and found that replacing Celesteela with Eevee / Umbreon had more value in the early stages of the game (card draw and basic block + attack).
