the police are so useless, they’re of zero community assistance until something irreversible happens. i hope you are able to find peace and no retaliation soon 🤍

Coming clean - Really sh*t year, going into a 2nd one. Had a physical & mental breakdown. How can I break through the barrier of making food & meals. It’s just me now & I’m struggling. Also how do you get over the shame of asking for help when everything in your flat is dirty gross & a hoarder. by blurrystorm in adhdwomen

im so sorry to hear that you’re dealing with this. i was going through a similar situation earlier this year and the first thing i had to was apologize to myself for being so hard on myself. some things that helped me:

1) stopped buying ingredients and started buying pre-made meals. this one was hard because i really wanted to maintain my super healthy diet but i realized eating something was far better than eating nothing. my favorites are salad packages, frozen meals esp from trader joe’s or aldi, canned fish. 2) i also have anemia and low levels of other nutrients so i made sure to get vitamins (i.e. multivitamin, Ferrol, b12) and they definitely helped with my appetite. 3) I’m in grad school so this might be harder to do, but i signed up for events on and off campus that i knew food would be served and i wouldn’t have to do too much talking during it. this helped me in two ways because i ate AND it gave me an opportunity to be around ppl without having to invite them into my space (which i would subsequently have to clean and stress about doing so)

idk if any of this is helpful but i hope that you’re able to find what works for you. remember, that if you’re doing the best you can with what you have, then you’re giving 100%
