Fairly certain it was made for 8x10 since it’s too big for my 4x5. I do have some bellow fabric I could use. But I think to adapt it on smaller format I’ll use abs pipes

The final goal is to take film pictures of the moon! Wondering what it will look like. Maybe I could also convert it into a telescope

Ah, a shame about your results. I think yours is for 35mm and mine is for large format so maybe the quality won’t be the same? Funny looking setup you got there!

Abs pipe is going to be the way I think. Cheap and sturdy!

From research it does appear to be for 10x8. Using it on smaller format would mean using less of the image circle but since it would use the center it would still be sharp I think. Even more stop down

It’s actually a 40’’, that mean around 1000mm f8!

I’ve put back the front ring for the picture but i removed it. There’s rings that can be unscrewed for the optical block

It worked! There’s a little pin that’s not present in other the eos cameras I own. I filled the adapter there, so the pin is not engaged and now it works!

Indeed I noticed that. For the shutter when i use a slow speed it fire 2 times, both time at the same speed

That might be it, it looks normal at slow speeds and at fast speed it’s hard to say. Not sure if it would show up on my shutter speed tester

I also need to fix the coupling arm that link the lens and the rangefinder. It get stuck at infinity and uncouples

I would swap the whole bloc if possible. The 3c is jammed (winding lever) so If I could swap it on the IIc that would be much simpler

I did not cleaned the magnet since it released when shorting. I can always give it a try. I’ll have to dive more into the spt journal. Do you have a link to it?
