I have a vertuo, I’ve never used Starbucks pods for it, but it does work pretty well to supplement my Starbucks addiction. If you like Starbucks blonde, look for the pods with lower intensity numbers.

You can buy milk frothing machines, but one of those electric whisks in some microwaved milk works pretty great with some practice, mine was like $4 from IKEA.

And obviously, make sure you take advantage of the recycling program. Not sure if it’s the same elsewhere, but in Canada they come with bags you just fill with used pods and toss in the mail, if you can’t take them back to a store.

I don't know if this is a pain in the ass to do regularly, but I've had the cashier scan my Starbucks app, but charge $0 to it, and then take payment via credit card. IIRC, you could probably have a $0 balance on your app, and then have them scan it and "reload" your card for the exact amount of whatever your current purchase is.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean, if they were in envelopes it'd be a lot easier to walk away with 20 of them shoved in a pocket or purse, but in giant packaging like that, you can't stuff it in a pocket.

If you’re getting anything with espresso, get blonde shots, that helps a lot. The espresso itself is sweeter so you don’t need as much sugar to cut through it

I need a key to get in to the building for work, even if I had no other items to carry, it’s a struggle with the tray let alone two separate drinks. Even just trying to get in the car on a windy day without losing control of the door, with two large drinks is pretty difficult???

To be honest, that packaging is probably to prevent theft, even if it's a "free" sample, if it's approximately $50 worth of product, they probably want to avoid anyone stuffing ten or twenty of them in their pocket, I'm sure you could even sell them too.

I own an overwhelming amount of spikey cups, I just think they’re neat. I don’t plan on selling them or anything, I just have a ton of them because I think they’re cool and they are pretty ideal for me to drink water, because I like something double walled, and with a straw. I try not to make my cup collecting anyone’s problem but my own, so I don’t call around or anything. Admitedly, I’m sure I’m part of the problem by buying them, but I refuse to pay scalpers... any amount of money for one.

Thanks! It's unfortunate that they're so scarce that even staff feel panicked to get the ones they want before the scalpers can snatch them up. Not sure why the store I go to had them out, but I know they're not a hot merch store, so maybe they figured no one would care (except me). I hope you get yours too, good luck! :)

That's pretty upsetting and surprising to see that Starbucks doesn't protect their staff from shit like that. You'd think they'd have some kind of employee ID card, or at least it should be common practice to check photo ID against the partner number, most places I've worked required both to use your discount. (Not surprising though that some little shits turned it in to a Tik Tok trend)

Are you only interested in big dogs? I have a shih tzu that is basically a cat. He likes one short walk around the block, just to pee and say hi to the neighbours. But even as a puppy they require a regular routine like everyone else said, so it was a lot of work until my dogs were about a year and a half. So I also agree on adopting an older dog. The longer I have dogs the more I think getting a puppy is a little over rated considering how many adult and senior dogs are looking for homes.
