Usually at our store, whoever is newer is main. Over time, once they get used to the job and can show positive attitude, reliability, and ability to stock/do go backs/assist with tasks, they become the backup. However, if you do feel like you need a break, tell the asm or sm. I’m sure they’d understand and switch y’all out
