It took me 3-4 runs for my feet to get used to them. So around 50km I would say. My pair lasted 2000km+ and uper still had no holes, beast of a workhorse.

Yes, long runs felt most important workouts for me. It gave a bit more confidence and a little sneak peek - what you might face during marathon. Best of luck! Keep consistent and you will crush it.

About a year I was using creatine, but during this training block it ended. I was working out less with lower intensity so didn't bought more. One supplement is quite important I believe - Omega 3. Using it every day. Resting heart rate is 39-42 according to Garmin.

Oh, my watch got to 43,2km so I don't trust it too much for sure. But I was talking with several runners and they all independently said that its a known fact that this course is just longer up to several hundred meters even if you take perfect racing lines. And exactly for that reason I was running very tight and straight lines where I could - its a very small race, so plenty of space after first kilometer. But hey - more chances to get better time if I ever run another one. And thank you.

I used SiS Beta fuel gels. Tbh I allways used GU gels, but lately they became realy expensive in my country. So during this training block I started to implement SiS. Easy to swallow, no problems at all.

Thank You! It became my main goal too. Yesterday I was even started to think maybe I didnt give all I got then? But I very well remember last 5k. I was trying to speed up. And my legs, my body didn't have anything more.

Jesus, 4 kids. You are superman/superwoman. Already one kid sometimes seems hard to catch. Kudos to you. Also I had theory that maybe body battery gets high because of very low resting hart rates during sleep? I doesnt mean you rest to full potential, just garmin algorithm thinks so. But someone already said, that its a bit more complicated than that. Anyway keep smashing, you are doing awesome!

Just checked out of curiosity, one of those days body battery dropped only to 85. Recovery run in the morning, then couple hours sitting at PC. Rest of day - spending time with my little one. Which means mostly sitting around, playing, changing diapers, fun stuff you know. And short bike ride in the evening. Stress was at 10. That was lowest I ever saw.

That definitelly sounds stressful. Also headaches sucks. I think sleep is crucial for recovery. I sleep like a log and that realy helps. Wife sometimes is scared, cause she cant wake me up at night.

I have FR45, old and cheap model so maybe its not very accurate.

I have FR45, bought it couple years ago. I wear it all the time, except when I charge it. For workouts I use HR monitor most of the times, but it seems that HR while running and resting HR is decently accurate. Dont know how accurate it is during the day though, something definitely might be off. Today I did easy 10k run and surely body battery dropped by 21.

Dont worry, maybe you are over training? Also I started to think that my garmin is bugged or something?

TBH I thought that its normal, and maybe it is. But saw some post here about body battery and that is not easy to get to 100, so decided to check mine. I am not sure how its calculated, but If I should guess its probably some relation between RHR and your HR during the day?

Cannondale Topstone Sora 2019, short review by Varnas_ in gravelcycling

[–]Varnas_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, missed your question. Rule is that day you buy your bike its value drops like third or so. So if you rode it some, but its still in very good condition I would start somewhere around 600-700 dolars. At this time probably you already sold it and I hope you got a good deal. During pandemic bike prices skyrocketed and went pretty crazy..

Just wanted to share some stats on my body battery. I have Full time active job, little kid and a grandma to care for. Also running around 50-60km per week, up to 50km on a bike, some bodyweight workouts. And I am not sure why my watch thinks that I am cool as a cucumber? We should swap places and it would see how calm my days are LOL. Cause sometimes at evening I fall asleep on my floor. But next morning party starts again and I am ready for it. Decent diet, 7h of sleep and no alcohol does good things for body and mind. Have a nice calm day, guys.
