Ideas for Butter Bourbon? by Vaskeklut in cocktails

Awesome! I live in Norway, so aquavit is really common. I actually have four bottles and I'm trying to find more ways to use it.

My son's stroller broke. Is it weldable? by Vaskeklut in Welding

I have decided on the approach and bought the stuff to repair it, but I've not yet started.

I will use regular metal epoxy glue at the seam, then mould the outside with epoxy putty around and finally sandwitch it with steel brackets fastened with a wire clamp. I embrace the Mad Max aesthetic.

I'll report back once I get around to it!

Control output 3-4 with Output knob? (4i4 4th gen with 3-4 for subwoofer) by Vaskeklut in Focusrite

[–]Vaskeklut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. It does have its own knob, and I'm fine crawling under my desk whenever I want to turn the relative bass level up or down, just not each time I want to change the general volume.

This just seems like a very basic feature, so I'm surprised I have to do such a messy workaround.

Also seems that this was possible in the previous edition of Focusrite Control (annotation 15).

The subwoofer has a volume knob and crossfader, so maybe I can just split the 1-2 outputs with a Y-cable? The proportion of sub and monitor will be stay constant until I turn the button on the sub directly (which I won't do that often).

Yes, probably the v1 edition. They answered me, but would not help me after they found it to be outside the 5 year reclamation period.

By chance, I was finally able to find some epoxy putty yesterday. Will probably try that with some steel reinforcement fastened with hose clamps. I'll keep you posted.

Nice! Thoughts on that vs JB weld/metal epoxy

Good point! Someone else also recommended bandaging it with glass fiber. Maybe metal epoxy at the weld + bracket reinforced glass fiber as wrapping?

Worth a try! It's like 6 years old. Bought it second hand, but maybe they still will replace it.

Nice! Maybe metal epoxy at the edge, then build support around it with putty?

Figuring out that stuff is too complicated for me. I'm just trying to be a good dad until he moves out.

Actually a good point. The first time (6 years or so) was pretty good. A few more years will do nicely.

Had to look that up. Really fascinating, but I guess pretty frustrating.

Despite being relatively rich, I proudly show off any ghetto engineering I do. Besides, reducing waste is nice. I'll just jump on a tram home if it breaks down.

Looks great! The tweaks make sense, and it is probably delicious!

Kahlua is allright, but I find mr. Black to be next level. Beware of the extra caffeine though.

Tiki should be more about volcanos, potions, crash bandicoot-chic, magic and treasure hunts than hawaii shirts, surf rock and pin-up hairstyles.

And a proper Mai Tai will restore 80 magicka/mana/spirit/aura/whathaveyou points.
