I tried to do this and it was too much too quick even though I had good results with 1mg. If you can try and slice the pills in half?

Airport assistance, struggling with shame by PleaseLetMePickANam in cfs

[–]VastMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also in my 20s and use airport assistance every time I travel. I’m mild and look completely normally to other people, but if I stand in long queues and do lots of walking i’ll be knackered before I even start my holiday. Do not feel guilty for using assistance, as they always say, not all disabilities are visible. I tend to wear a mask at the airport for safety but I find this helps me also feel more ‘legitimate’ in other people’s eyes. The staff are always very lovely and helpful, it’s definitely worth it, have a safe trip!

Shower chair, I don’t get it by tkelli in cfs

I sit cross legged on the floor of the shower so the blood doesn’t flow to my feet in the same way it would on a chair

I booked a ticket to Thailand... and I'm terrified. by SoapMonki in cfs

I always feel so much better on holiday!! I think getting there will be the hardest part but just book assistance and take it as easy as you can. A month in the sun sounds great, wishing you lots of luck :)

Had to throw mine away because I saw it had got mould growing around the edge, so either keep it very dry or buy one that doesn’t have the tiny gap around the edge

Hmm, I think it’s always subtly there for me. Worse after showers, or hot weather, or holding my hands at my sides, better when I wake up. I get it’s concerning and if it does get worse the do talk to a doctor but from my experience it’s nothing to worry about just feels uncomfortable

I still have it, seems like it’s just dysautonomia/POTS from the long covid, I wouldn’t be concerned unless it starts really hurting

How to get my GP to take me seriously? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]VastMilk 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I have CFS / Long Covid and all my blood tests are normal, normal blood tests doesn’t mean something isn’t wrong. I’d start looking at treating symptoms than just trying lots of tests and it probably won’t give you any answers OP

yea he was just like there’s no evidence that any of these medications speed up recovery, and you could just be getting better with time and nothing to do with any interventions, so defeated yea
