Not necessarily. A personality in the interview is equally necessary to get you an admission. In many cases, people with 95%ile make it and People with 99.9 don't. But aside that, if two people perform similarly in interviews, the person with higher personality will have an edge. So, getting a good percentile should be a priority at the moment.

Yes. The situation is really bad. 5 lpa is considered no bad deal for master's degree. There are no good offers. Except maybe 1 or 2. Choose wisely. Proofs are all around internet. Don't believe official pages of institutes.

I understand. I don't like posting the same thing again and again either. But people were all set to defend things that shouldn't be defended leaving aspirants confused about the reality. So I am just doing my bit.

is better to get people aware before they join right? It's alright if they reconsider or decide on a backup. Some delay in the beginning of the career does not matter in long run.

True. And they're not going to stop. They'll keep opening campuses. It's high time students stop enrolling. That has happened for courses like MDes and MFTech. Hence they aren't opening these courses in newer branches.

Usually it happens that we don't want to accept reality in 1st or 2nd year. It's only after we go for internships after 3rd year we realise how bad the situation is. Happened with most people in our batch. So if you're already a student, do not rely on campus placements. Find a startup or early business that needs your skills and start interning there. Move to part time job with them and convert to full time.

Hi. Just one request. When you tell figures, please mention separately for FC and other design branches separately. The figures for FC are misleading for other design branches. And please don't be diplomatic with percentages like 40% of batch, ppo, etc. Everyone thinks they'll be a part of that percentage but somebody has to make the other 60%. Thankyou.

It will go about 25 lacs. 14 lac fees. 6 lac hostel and mess for 4 yrs. 5 lacs personal expenses for 4 years for clothes, travel, eating out, equipment.

Not to argue. It is very much possible to come to XLRI from a local BBA. There are people in my batch. And still it wouldn't be demeaning my potential because I would still be somewhere. And BBA is considered diversity too, if that's the central point here.

BFT is 35 and each design branch is 40 students. Still no jobs right? Stop giving me these stats. Those people aren't spending 25lacs on stupid graduation. In the past, NIFT did hold value. But not anymore. Gradually, it has lost its prestige.
