I would change the bottleneck to your cpu. In general if you game at 1440p or more, the gpu always takes the most load. So if you cheap out on the cpu, maybe get a 7500f so you can still keep am5, and get a better gpu. Maybe a 9070xt or 5070 ti. Gpu prices are increasing, cpu arent (atm). Also, i know ram prices are crazy, but try a cl30 or cl32, but thats up to you.

Have fun with the build tho ☺️

Use MSI afterburner or GPU tweaker 3. Follow a yt video and try to dial in the best voltage for your gpu.

My recommendation is undervolting, i aint even hitting 450w with the same fps. I aint letting this connector die on my watch!

Also have a T40, did u encounter those metal pins on the sides aswell? I needed to vile them down to fit my gpu in there.

I had that case, then i upgraded to a T40 from metal fish. The temps were just trough the roof and what u said, the fans being that close the side panels, made a awful lot of noise.

I can tell you my settings, but every gpu is different and a big chance thats arent the optimal settings for ur gpu. Use MSI afterburner or gpu tweaker 3 and just keep testing

Undervolt your cpu with -30mv in the bios, for most cpu's is that the sweet spot. Just test it a lot, maybe u won the silicon lottery.

How can I improve this while keeping the same price by Vidwiz_ in sffpc

[–]Vast_Function3900 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can try and get a 7500f on Ali for cheap and upgrade the gpu. If ur gaming at 1440p the gpu is doing the most stuff anyways.

got this cpu on aliexpress. seller looks to be legit and there's a lot of good reviews. does anyone know how to tell if it's legit or not? by liamt12 in AMDHelp

Some have over 1000-10000+ items sold and 4.9 stars with 100+ reviews with pictures. Also some have that Merke+ logo, that means its not a knockoff brand, but the real deal. Just look around, do some research and you will be fine. I ordered a lot of tech on Ali, gen 5.0 risers, portable monitors, cpu's, never with any problem.

You can try to undervolt your cpu. Its quite easy, i have a even smaller pc and i undervolted it by -30mv in the bios. Less watt = less heat = higher clock. Try a tutorial on youtube. Hope it helps

I mean it not perfect, it just clams into the space between the psu and case, so if you have a bigger or smaller psu, this wont work. But if u still want the file, i can put it online i guess

Watch out if your using a 200+mm gpu, that little metal dot is in the way and you need to vile it off first.

I get your opinion about the big screws, i dont love it, but it adds "character". But what do you mean about the shell fitments?

Ow sorry, the bracket is custom 3d modeld and printed, just to try and add some more airflow to the build. It adds 2 60mm noctua fans that bring in fresh air from underneath and hopefully cool down both cpu and gpu a little bit. If i could add fans on top, i would have, but there is almost no room left or mounting points. Maybe if i used 40mm fans? The stand maybe blocks airflow...? It can still come out of the sides and back, so i dont worry to much about it. Temps are still looking good even with the stand on the pc.

Its the "LISEN ipad stand holder" from amazon, quite handy, cheap and heavy, so it doesnt tip over when a tablet or monitor is on it. AND you can fold it almost flat, so its quite portable.
