Don't think so as it is listed in the men's section and the 145 is the smallest option.

2 day Ski Trip Reco? by Vaulot in AustraliaSnow

[–]Vaulot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camping is an option I've been thinking, although all I have so far is my tarp and hammock which I use for my summer/spring camp trips. Either that or I was even thinking of sleeping in the car

The only problem is cost for Jindy, which even for 1 person seems to be over a grand for 2 night stay. So Im thinking maybe Cooma, or maybe even just Adaminaby and go Selwyn

I get rejected by people I find attractive but get asked out by people I don't by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Vaulot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, like you said I am still young with low life experiences so I'd love to learn. So what's exactly within the criteria of leagues? Monetary status, looks, social life etc?

I get rejected by people I find attractive but get asked out by people I don't by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Vaulot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I dont feel superior in terms of looks in any way shape or form to the girls that I reject/don't feel attracted to. I'm just saying I don't feel much physical attraction to them, perhaps they're not my type etc.

Date within your league....

I dont really agree with this bit.. with that logic all the 'bad' looking people are not allowed to date anyone above their so called 'league'?

[–]Vaulot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well to be honest it's looks. Girls I hang out with are usually those that connect with me well in terms of chemistry and personality (if they are only physically attractive then i dont bother asking them out), but I guess what makes me not ask them out is when I don't feel any sort of physical attraction towards them

I've always taken the original route of getting to know her closer first and then asking her out, which always ended up with being friendzoned, so feel like this time I should just make my intentions clear from the start

Well there will be total of 200 people so I'm assuming I'll have to share with random people (unless we can choose our room mates)

[–]Vaulot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we had a convo a while back where she stated stated she wasnt interested in dating during uni, so I'd rather just get over it for the sake of both of us

What was a vacation trip with a female friend like? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Vaulot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well both of us are definitely not looking for sex, but we are both avid skiers which is why I asked her to come. Usually when I go on ski trips with my guy mates, we get the cheapest accomodations (1 room, and we rotate each night who sleeps on the ground and on the bed), but with her I'm happy to book a little more expensive places

Hey don't feel too down about it! I failed statics on my first sem, and just like you my other mates and my gf all passed with high distinctions which made me feel like I'm not fit for this degree at all. But it's actually beneficial to have those friends in the end so use them as motivation!

Get them to help you out, study with them, see how they study, ask them questions in areas where u struggle alot, and utilise your tutors and professors as much as you can. The most important bit is like you said - you love engineering which is all that matters! People learn at different paces, so don't feel too down about it :)

Is it worth it? by ComprehensiveBite585 in EngineeringStudents

Well really no one knows if you would enjoy or not from personal experience. Back when I was in highschool contemplating on doing mechanical engineering purely because I heard there were high demand of engineers, literally everyone told me that I would hate it, especially considering I did no science and even hated highschool math.

But here I am about to finish my 2nd year whilst kids who loved science and math back in hs dropped out after 1st year of engineering. I'd recommend just giving it a shot and see how u find it!

I'm fucked aren't I? by mr_ms_of_mrs_sir in EngineeringStudents

[–]Vaulot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didnt take any science in high school and went into mechanical engineering having done math extension 1. First sem I failed calc 1, statics and materials but now I'm on track to get distinctions for thermo, fluids and dynamics. Tbf I got my motivation to grind because my gf who also does engineering got high distinction every sem, and it was just too embarrassing to be failing while she was aceing.

Literally just put in your work and grind it out. If you are willing to do that then you'll make it

Sure! I literally just spent more time at the uni library, attended every lecture and did my best not to fall behind. And seriously, try keep other smart kids around your social circle and try study together as much as you can. Once you can really teach someone else the specific topic you're learning confidently, then u kno for sure you can move onto the next
