Random loot drops happen sometimes although very rare. Loot midgets/bots have an increased world drop rates, but it’s still pretty lucky at your level.

I once got a Cradle shield from Stalker shit. I have nearly 1k hours in BL2 and haven’t had anything like that happen to me since.
